Yeah I don't get it either. "Scumbag Lowballer" was looking for a CD player. "Me" offered him one at $75. "Scumbag Lowballer" said sounds good, what's your contact info. "Me" proceeded to mess with him...

Dude just wanted a CD player...

edit: I should add I know the guy is just messing with people but I don't understand how that particular person is a "lowballer"...

I've had pretty much all good experiences buying and selling on Kijiji. The only thing that was annoying was a seller flaking out on me. Thankfully I wasn't put out waiting for him and a cheaper item came up a couple days later.

This is not exclusive to Kijiji, but my biggest gripe is how much people think their used stuff is worth. Everyone knows that a cars value drops drastically as soon as they leave the dealership and here is a quote from one ad about a year old car for sale.

I am not trying to make money just trying to break even. I will pay the admin fees to transfer the Lease to your name - alternatley you may buy it out for above mentioned price.
This is a car that you could buy off of a dealers lot, it isn't anything special or rare. Of course you are not going to make money, but to think you could break even is pretty ridiculous IMO. The car is at least $4000-5000 over priced compared to everything else on Kijiji. Why would anyone pay that price for a car you could get brand new at a dealership. Some people must honestly think that their used goods don't depreciate.

Last time I tried to sell a 3D wall sticker on Kijiji I got a ton of stupid lowballs. People didn't even appreciate the fact I was throwing in the MDF and my labour costs.

I was thinking the same thing. The buyer in that sample seemed to be pretty upfront and honest about the money.

Maybe we need another website that documents the buyer hunting down the seller and beating him down with the CD player as punishment for the seller being an enormous unfunny d0uch3 bag
