I used to travel up to the Arctic quite a bit with my old job, first few times were kinda fun but once the novelty wears of I started to dread the week-long frozen sojurns.
Boring as hell, nothing to do, expensive, no decent looking women and way too cold.
The upshot? The people are really friendly. If you hate trees, the north is for you. That's about it.
