Maybe I'll try this. Survival difficulty, legendary modded rifles aren't putting up quite the damage you'd expect. Rifleman max and bloody mess max. Headshots on people with exposed heads often just 1/3 of health. Silly. I need something to hit harder.

Can you daisy chain generators together? Figured I'd like to have them all in one place for the most part on one of the vacant foundations in my settlement. Chain them together and then have one wire connecting to a large pylon and distribute from there?

That is what I have done to reduce wiring and space

Fallout 4
I just got Righteous Authority from Paladin Danse. I haven't gotten around to fighting with it yet, but I've put a scope and a beam focuser on it.
I haven't really got a set build right now. I've got a lot of STR, CHA, and some INT. I'm enjoying bashing in skulls, sneaking around for the sneak bonus, and headshotting my foes from afar. I should probably try to focus more on one thing rather than being so all over the place, eh?
EDIT:
I also seem to have no problem finding adhesives, but damn screws are nowhere to be found. I've got probably 50 adhesives at the moment, but 0 screws.
DOUBLE EDIT:
I'm having issues getting bogged down with items. I get overburdened all the time. I think my big problem is I'm carrying my power armour parts all over the place. Is there somewhere I can store is safely, or can I get more than one power armour frame? I currently have the VaulTec power armour, but I don't use it very often.
Also, are power cores or fusion cores or whatever very readily available?

I keep the power armour pieces in my workshop like everything else. The ones I actually use are on my power armour. I occasionally skim through my inventory and transfer some of the extraneous stuff out (there's some stuff in your "aids" that can add up...food, meat, alcohol, etc), and any unused weapons or armour. Helps to throw on a gear piece or two that gives you a strength boost for more carrying capacity, also.
As for screws, I know toys have them. Make sure you pick some of them up on your travels. Fusion cores are a finite resource in the game and are only found in certain locations.

Dump the power armor. I leave all my stuff in the workshop in sanctuary and fast travel any time I need to dump stuff off. Only carry what I wear/use, and a suit for charisma and some rad protection.
AFAIK if you leave stuff in a trash can or suitcase or whatever it'll stay there even after shutting the system down. On missions sometimes I'll find a trash can or cig vending machine and leave junk in there and come back for it and fast travel back and forth to bring it all to Sanctuary. It's always been there when I came back.
I've also thrown a lot of exp into strength, and use the lone wanderer perk. Don't forget you can load up Dogmeat or other companions to carry stuff too.

I gussied up Sanctuary a bit, and all my soon-to-be-upgraded or otherwise unused armour are stored on shelves in my beefed-up garage. I also spent some time making my room look like a room. I have a shelf with comic books and models/toys and other momentos on it.
Is it worth it to put a fence around the whole of Sanctuary? I started out with metal walls but they can only be set on 90's or in line. I ended up using junk fencing and it looks good so far I think. I wouldn't mind beefing up my gate a little though.
Man this game is awesome.

Maybe there is better information online, but I've had one attack so far and the walls were useless. I found 3 mutants in the middle of my settlement.

No it doesn't improve the defense at all from anything I've read.

Btw of anyone is wanting to add a personal touch into their settlement like I did, beware: items go missing. Half of my comic books up and walked out. I checked every settler. Nothing. No trace.

Also dump your weapon mods into your work bench. The ones in your inventory aren't the same as the ones attached to your guns so nothing changes. They add up weight quickly.

Think I tried to get to greentop nursery too soon (level 11). Ended up using all my molotovs on some kind of water scorpion on the way there, and all it dropped was meat! Think I'll probably back out of this quest for now, everything seems tough

I've been selling my mods. None of them have really been any decent as I've waited until I can pretty well max out my weapons before upgrading.
