Clarification on sunnyside really appreciated if anyone knows- all of sunnyside or just east if 5a st as earlier map seemed to indicate??
Hi I just rwd my pvr they did not say parts of Sunnyside they said the community of Sunnyside.
I grew up near there great area I hope this is just precautionary. But yes they are asking evacuation.
Apparently later tonight the city will temp close natural gas and utilities in grids in case people forget to.

Apparently 2005 was our "100-year-flood", and if this is going to top it, we're in for a very serious situation here. I'm not trying to sound alarmist or anything, but I just can't shake the feeling that this is not going to be pretty. At all.
The 2005 flood was less than a 1 in 20 on the Bow and 1 in 30 on the elbow IIRC.

The water shown on those maps represent a 1 in 100 year flood. The floodway is where the flowing water level would be. The Flood Fringe is where water would pond and the corresponding step elevations indicate the elevation of flood waters. The overland flow zone is the area that flood waters would bypass the river alignment to shortcut bends and such.
