A picture paints a thousand words. You can pretty much guess what Howard is telling Kronwall...

on the Burrows goal? I don't remember Campoli deflecting that shot. The puck was rolling and on edge. That's how it got that high that fast.

I just watched it again and it looks like Campoli got a piece of Burrows stick, but not the puck.

That shot wasn't getting stopped by anyone though. A slapper from the top of the circles in clear, shot went top shelf and Crawford came out aggressively and played it right.

My blood pressure is just now returning to normal! After watching the mayhem that was allowed for most of the game and all of the 3rd period, to have Hjammer's apparent GWG waved off for such a weak call against Saad was unbelievable.

The sequence where Filppula got hurt was an indication of how loosely this game was alledgedly controlled by two "veteran" officials...Shaw went to give Zetterberg some of the same treatment the Wings had given Toews all series, a push and a crosscheck (with not much striking power behind it)....Zetterberg responds with a spear to the 'nads...Cleary, from the bench gets a shot in (as he did later on the Saad/Quincey scrum)...Filppula grabs and wrestles Shaw for a bit...Shaw, while wrestling Filppula, slew foots him by kicking out his skate...Filpulla goes down awkwardly...NO CALLS FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE.

The game itself seemed sloppy, offensively, for both squads. And my guys have to improve their passing against the Kings.

Am just relieved to get by Detroit.

Disappointing goal to end the series. I'd prefer a good play over a marginal decision to block ending up in a deflection. A goal is a goal but I'd rather an intentional play well executed win such a hard fought series

The last 2 Western series were tough to see the outcomes of as a long time Flames fan. Datsyuk and Thornton were awesome and beat by the narrowest of margins. I can't help but cheer for those guys who were better than captains Toews and Brown

^ Zetterberg is the captain of the Red Wings, not Datsyuk. The point remains I guess though.

Noted. Was comparing Datsyuk as best player vs other teams' captains. Whether or not Thornton had the C, for example, he was awesome as well. Point had to do with sentimental favourites who were arguably the best player in either series vs captains of the winning team (ex Toews as captain melted down and his team won for him)

Happy with the result. Don't hate either team but wanted to see Chicago/LA rather then Detroit/LA mainly because I think LA would have beat Detroit in 6 tops. I'll be rooting for Chicago in the West Finals (I don't dislike LA).

Awesome to watch. It's too bad that Butthead and the NHL are wrecking this great div rivalry and leaving the Bhawks as the only original 6 team in the west.

My mistake, it was a rolling puck and not deflected.
