Funny/strange quote from Darian Durant (obviously feeling some pressure):

"As long as the team has a chance to win I have done my job."

Durant's weakness has been exposed the last few weeks, he simply has and apparently still has no clue how to read blitzes. Its guaranteed if you do this you will stop him. And guess what its always been the fault of LaPolice, Berry, Miller, Dyce and now Cortez for this. This is on all him.

Is Cortez that bloody stubborn to try not the run even if it isn't working as it will keep the defense from blitzing on every play as well? I could list other things that are wrong with that team at the current time but the blitzing sticks out like a sore thumb.

Tough year for QBs. Every starter except Burris has been injured

REGINA -- The Canadian Football League announced today that it has fined Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant for violating the CFL’s Social Media Policy by sending an offensive and inappropriate tweet in response to a CFL fan.

As per league policy, the amounts of the fines are not disclosed.

I get his frustration over the last month because playing QB in Regina is not easy, when its good its really good, when things are bad in Regina its always the fault of the QB.

The moron later asked for season tickets as an apology or he would go public. What a d-bag. Also who knows how many dumbasses tweeted something dumb to him in the last few weeks and he finally reached his breaking point the other night.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the CFL, the CFLPA and Chris Williams have reached a settlement of all outstanding matters.

Effective immediately, Mr. Williams is free to attempt to sign with an NFL team. Should Mr. Williams decide that he wants to play in the CFL for the 2013 and 2014 seasons, he has entered into an agreement to play for Hamilton.

No excuse.

Durant should be a professional and not reply to fan comments on social media. Social media is just an accident waiting to happen for most athletes.

Personally I'm hoping the NFL ignores him and he sits out the whole season.

Reilly been cleared to play by the doctors. Not sure if he's playing this week or not. Edmonton has nothing to play for this year. They should keep him on the bench to prepare for next year since he looks their franchise QB. If he does play on Saturday I'll give him 1/2 games before he gets concussed again.

Just looking at the boxscore, and in Simon's first game back to BC, who have honored him on setting the receiving record last week, as obviously the majority of his success has come in BC, he's yet to catch a pass from Marian; he's caught one in 182 straight games up until tonight.

Edit: They throw basically a lateral to him in total garbage time. 19 seconds left when they really should be kneeling down with a 14 point lead. Simon, drops the ball after he catches it and gets pushed out of bounds and goes to the sideline, shaking his head and not taking any congratulations from his teammates and Marian going to the BC bench to justify throwing in that situation.

Simon could of made no attempt at it if he didn't want to I am pretty sure he knew what was going on and was okay with it. But no point rubbing it in by celebrating.

What a horribly organization Edmonton is with the nepotism going on, Kirk Penton is about as reliable as they come as well.

Quote:
My coaches were talking yesterday. The worst kept secret in the CFL is who is going to be the next Eskimos coach -- Rick Campbell. Hugh Campbell wanted Ed Hervey to be their GM. If Hervey survives over there, he's paying the old man back and hiring his son. My assistant coaches said Mark Nelson will be the defensive coordinator and Kris Sweet has been promised a job to stay and coach the line

I dunno about all that. In fact in the very same article he says this...

Quote:
Kavis Reed is a better head coach than he's getting credited for
I mean....really? Based on what? Its a complete gong show in Edmonton and Reed has been dead in the middle of all of it.

Also, who are "my coaches" this guy keeps referencing?
