VGK look like they are playing with 6 skaters; they are everywhere...

Their players are high skilled for sure but I hope smart coaches can see how they exit their zone. Short passes and get up the ice. Rarely ever dump and chase. (Mike Babcock are you watching?)

i think they also said VGK use 5 man units or something, so they can play faster because they are used to each other...

Short passes work if you are a fast team; i don't think they would work so well if you didn't have that team speed like VGK...sometimes teams play the system that their personnel allows them to play.

i can't speak to TO, as i haven't watched them play, but Babcock also has a long resume of success, so undoubtedly he may be philosophically tethered to dump and chase.
