^ I took some time to look at my strava segments, and for the most part they are really close together, so in some cases the difference between a new best and my time on a day can be a matter of 10 seconds in that segment.

Of course there are outliers, that I guess are windy or lazy days.

Another thing you can do is create private segments. Make a segment for your entire ride to work/home. Then you're not basing your gains over the 1 or 2 minute intervals or against other rider's times.

^ that is a good thing.....

Rode bragging rights and Merlin this morning. Stellar conditions for sure.

Rode all but about 15 feet, as twice I made a poor choice of line and the third time I got a little excited as I was close to cleaning that rock section at the top. Set several PB's on strava. Surprised that it takes about 40 minutes of riding to get to merlins view.

Next goal is to ride this bad boy without stopping.

Have to say that this is the best I have felt in years. Really looking forward to my weekend in revelstoke in early August.

Are you bringing the road bike and taking the Meadows in the Sky Parkway up Mount Revelstoke?

Ridleys, it's down the street from me and they had it marked down a few hundred of list so I went for it.

Do you guys still ride with the smoke? Was thinking about it, but I'm not sure how much difference it makes

For commuting? Ya, but I take it real easy. Last time it was really smokey I remember trying not to exert myself at all. I sure wouldn't do a real ride though.

Anyone riding today? It's pretty smokey.

Edit: I can see Kevin and Aaron already did. No excuses for me.

I just got in. Cool morning! It would have been really pleasant without the smoke. I took it pretty easy, not the worst I've ridden in. Certainly noticeable though.

Back from vacation, took it easy today. Wasn't coughing or anything at work so that's a good thing.

Yeah, I just kept it slower and it was no problem. Anyone ever throw on a mask on days like this? I have an N95 handy.

It wasn't too bad. It felt like a fall morning though.

Wasn't really an issue for me. Didn't even think about it till i read all these comments. I set 4 PR's on the new bike so I was not taking it easy, haha.

Ya, it was way cooler than I expected. Guess that makes sense with all the smoke blocking the sun though.

The smoke wasn't too bad, I rode at my normal pace, but will probably take it easy on the way home. Likely won't ride all week if this lingers.

What was bad, was it was chilly this morning and I wasn't dressed for it.
