Chris Brown is interesting because he shared time with a pretty special player in Demarco Murray. Might be a bit of a sleeper.

I just want to say that Browns got a really good back in Montario Hardesty. Watched this kid a couple of times live and he runs really hard. He's not the most elusive guy but he breaks tackles really well and will be terrific cold-weather back.

I sure hope so. If there's one team that could really use good young WR's it's the Titans. Britt and Johnson are awesome weapons for Young to work with, Scaife is a pretty good TE too but after that it's pretty thin.

Blount has signed with the Titans as well, backing away from the 49ers

Singletary may be overdoing it with the troubled pupil thing this year.

One thing is for sure, Singletary was disappointed with the lack of offensive toughness last year; you can't accuse the team of not addressing that this offseason,

good place for Blount, with Lendale White going to Seattle

he has a good chance to be the power runner that offsets Chris Johnson

I hope Staffon Johnson wins that position. Blount screwed himself, Johnson seems like a good kid. I will be rooting for him.

I don't see how Stafon Johnson fits in as the powerback for the Titans. He's basically the same size a Chris Johnson (maybe 10 pounds heavier) and from what I remember from watching him was that he's more of a speed/shifty runner.

Yeah, from the sounds of it Johnson will be given the opportunity to be the KR/PR who will get some downs in. Blount will be given the opportunity to battle with Ringer for Whites old job. Either should be better as Lendale became a huge useless fatso last season.

Of course all of this is useless if Johnson continues his hold out. And no I don't feel sorry for the guy. Yes he had a great season but he also signed a 5 year contract. Play it out then ask for more money. But I have no doubt the Titans will do what it takes to get him in before the season.

Rookie running backs who aren't high picks are kind of damned if they do and damned if they don't. Running back is a position where Rookie players tend to be very productive. It's the one position in the NFL where an inexperienced player can have a huge impact. Problem is that after 5 years, most of them are on the downside of their career from the abuse they've taken and can't get paid anymore. The smart thing for teams to do, is to not pay these guys and go find another young guy in the draft.

So if there is one player in pro sports who should want to get paid, it's a productive NFL running back going into those 3rd to 5th years of his contract. That is the players window to make his money before he gets cast off to the scrap heap.

Yah i agree Syl. Chris Johnson should hold out. His only chance for big money is now after his huge season last year. If he waits 5 years he'll be pretty much done, especially with how small he is and how many carries he gets.
