the other thing is that bennett and brouwer are the two guys that will not fit in the lineup seemingly any place you put them.
gaudreau - monahan - ferland
tkachuk - backlund - lindholm
mangiapane - jankowski - frolik
dube - shore - lazar

Having Dube playing 4th line minutes in his first pro season is a complete waste.... needs to be in the AHL playing top 6.

I feel sick just thinking about Hamilton being traded away when we have an aging Gio on the back end and no one else who can play that role. Hamilton is supposed to take the torch one day soon. Unless it was a massive overpayment, I am not a fan of Hamilton being traded. At all.
You don't trade away your top pairing D for help on the wing...

if we get Hanifin as well, it definitely softens the blow. He could be as good/or better (risk that he doesn't of course).
