If the Jays lose 4 or 5 guys out of the rotation, we're going to be screwed no matter who they dredge out there. You might even see Hoffman come up in a situation like that if it happened after June.

Getting a guy like Felix Doubront could end up being a tremendously underrated move. You know over the course of a season you're going to need to have depth for a dozen or so spot starts. If we can get servicable starts from Doubront/Estrada in these games, that could make or break the season in the end.

Santana? He's not even throwing yet, and I don't think he threw at all last year: http://m.bluejays.mlb.com/news/artic...d-in-mid-april

I'd be surprised. Very surprised.

I agree with your thoughts here. Santana's seems to be a "well, it couldn't hurt" type of thing. It'll be both remarkable and scary if the Jays actually get anything out of him this season.

Also, what I'm saying is that the Jays don't even have to lose 4 or 5 guys. What happens if they lose one? Estrada? Two? Hendricks?

I imagine Todd Redmond would be put into a starters role for a few games.

Looks like Hendriks stays with the 40 man roster for the season opener and Goins was sent down.

It'll be that way for about two weeks - then Goins will likely be promoted.

Call me a total sucker, but watching these games (and crowds!) in Montreal has been outstanding. Get a team in there!

Russell Martin Sr takes junior out of the game. Touching moment.

Nice to see Luis Perez back with the Jays. Also interested to see how Colt Hynes does this year.
