If we're going to use old threads for new info, can we please put the page number of the new info the thread title?
(FYI: 14, default settings for standardization!)

Very, very happy with our new tandem and this from a poster that has complained about many broadcasters we've had in the past. I didn't mind Kerr as much as others, but to say Ball is a huge upgrade is an understatement. Simmer on the other hand was a complete train wreck, literally the worst colour guy I've listened to for any major NA sport. Seems like a very nice guy, but he was god awful at that job and I couldn't be more excited to have Hrudey take his spot.

OMG, a million times thanks. The most frustrating part of any thread watching is finding where you left off. I've often had to figure out roughly what time I last looked at it and check the time stamps on the side. I often re-read the same posts several times without knowing it. So much time wasted! I can't get that time back!
Honestly, thanks a bunch for that tip.

I remember when I was tipped off on that little feature. Life changing. I can't imagine life without it.

I am actually stunned people don't know about this, I don't remember the last time I visited a forum of any nature without this feature.

I have to agree -- Ball and Hrudey are quite good. Should be good for the upcoming season.

I don't know if it was just the setup at Sylvan Lake but I was pretty disappointed in the play by play. It just didn't sound natural and it lacked excitement. Maybe they will get better after a few broadcasts but if it remains at this level I feel as though it will make watching the games pretty painful.

Kelly has always had a preference for the Oilers if the two teams are playing each other. I do believe he is somewhat a flames fan as well or at least pretends to be. Over the years he has been very hard to listen to if the Oilers happen to be leading or win against the Flames. He can be almost sickening to listen too. I have not noticed any favouritism towards the Canucks.

Strongly disagree. I thought they were terrific and a MAJOR upgrade over Kerr/Millions.

I think the quieter arena might have made it seem a little less intense then usual. But I agree it's a major upgrade. Kerr I actually never minded, but Simmer was just brutal. Just wait until the real season starts and the crowd is roaring. Bell/Hrudey are going to be great.

It also works if the older posts are more than two weeks old.
If you haven't read any posts in a thread or haven't read any within the last two weeks, the "Goto New Posts" button jumps to the oldest post from within the last 2 weeks.

I like the Ball-Hrudey tandem too and they are so much easier to listen to. Just remember the game was televised under CBC and not Sportsnet so that might change.
