Of course, most of these hits don't involve a guy running at top speed.
I do agree that Kackert bears some responsibility, but there's no denying the fact that Brackenridge lowered his helmet and led with the lid.

Defenders won't not hit them just because their head is down, they'll make the play (as they should) and deal with the consequences after the fact. I think the point for debate is how much of the damage did Kackert bring on himself? Does he get concussed if he doesn't lower his head like that? Obviously you hate to see injuries and Brackenridge should probably be fined, but in my mind a RB (or anyone) should not be allowed to drop his head like that. Or, if they do drop their head like that they should be giving up some of the rules designed to protect them as they're making it harder for defenders to get underneath them and tackle them with a low tackle.
And what's this I hear about Braley looking to sell his teams?
|
Agree with this 100%...however as the rules are written right now, the defensive player is fully responsible in these situations, which is why this particular fine is appropriate.
He didnt have to hit him the way he did, but he did and thats the bottom line.

Edmonton trims the Bombers lead to 20-11 just before the end of the half, and then Stamps gets stripped on the Eskies first play of the 3rd quarter and Johnson takes it to the house. Bombers lead 27-11.

TSN was showing BC defense dancing during the timeout. I think they were dancing while the stadium was playing Cupid Shuffle.
Some people might think it is pretty cocky to dance during the game but I am cool with it even if they play for the team i don't like. They were having fun and not doing harm to others. That's cool and love to see players having fun.

It's a turnover fest tonight (3 for each time). Probably explains why they're at the bottom of their respective divisions.

Eskies making things interesting, Bombers lead 27-24 with about 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Geez, everytime I see Hugh O'Neill and Sandro DeAngelis miss a short FG, I am very thankful that Rene Paredes kicks FGs for the Stamps.

LMAO, Did you hear that fan yell at Burke, "maybe you should take a knee." My memory is sometimes hazy but I believe it was after the 2 point convert in OT.
So to summarize Burke's thought process: He had no faith in Goltz so he waited until it was an even matchup in OT between quarterbacks. Instead of giving Goltz a shot attempt to win the game with 22 seconds left.

Interesting, more then Mack did in his 4 years in which he only sat on his ass and did nothing.

I think they are screwed right now trying to find a QB for the future as nobody is going to give up a QB in the thick of playoff race.
