A questionable penatly call goes in Barca's favour in a big game...NEVER
They are most likely the better team, but the amount of help the best team in the world gets from refs is pretty silly.

Of course everybody forgets the 1 or 2 pk shouts Barca had in Milan that didnt get called the one on Sanchez was an obvious penalty.

I dont think the Puyol shout was a PK but the Sanchez one most people thought was a a definite PK when Abbiati took him out

My only worry with Bayern are the center backs. Are Boateng and Badstuber strong enough? The rest of the lineup is on par with anyone in the world. Especially with a healthy Schweinsteiger

Dont forget, Daniel van Buyten is also there.

so Bayern vs Real it is ... two of the three clubs I hate the most (City being the third one, obviously ). One of the two in final, that is hard to take. Hopefully Barcelona wins it.

How were any of those penalties questionable? Did you actually watch the game?
That first foul on Messi the milan defender slid and hooked his foot, preventing him from going forward. You can't impede a player's progress, specially inside the penalty area. That second one, Nesta was pulling on Pedro's jersey which again, impeded Pedro's run forward inside the box.
Milan played well but Barca was simply better! I can't wait until the semis, if all goes well tomorrow it should be Barca vs Chelsea / Real Madrid vs Bayern. Both great match-ups and both with lots of history against each other.

Chelsea vs Benifica should be an interesting one tomorrow. With Chelsea going into this one having won 1 - 0 in the first leg, Benfica still have a chance to come away with an upset here. Benfica come in with a record of having scored in every away game this Champions League so, if they get a quick one here things could get tough for the Blues. No matter how much Benfica come at Chelsea, I still think the English team will prevail. Benfica have played 3 English teams in the quarter finals and lost all of them, you can probably add a fourth to that record now.
Real Madrid vs APOEL...well, the only thing really to be said about this is how many more goals will Madrid get at the Bernabeu. Even APOEL's coach Ivan Jovanovic is quoted as saying that Real Madrid will reach the semi finals. Really, I'm just waiting for the Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich semi final, should be a great match-up with both sides having enough fire power to do some damage.

Not sure where to put this so I'll mention it here. Mario Gomez has signed an extension to stay at Bayern through 2016

And they're working on Robben too.

With a makeshift backline Benfica is hanging there, they are holding their line really well. 2 offsides against Chelsea

2 dives in a row by Chelsea... A yellow and a penalty...
Lampard scores the penalty.
EDIT: the ref is so one sided for Chelsea. It's almost unwatchable

Wow. This ref is pissed at Benfica. Chelsea is getting away with far worse challenges than anything Benfica has done and Benfica keeps racking up yellows

The foul on Messi for the first penalty was an easy call.
The second foul happens in the box every game, and I would say that 95% of the time a penalty is not called. Honestly Nesta could have went down just as easily as Pedro did since he was cleary impded by Puyol on that play when Puyol clearly moved and grabbed Nesta while trying to set a pick. That call was brutal, no doubt about it.
Barca was the better team but the game should have went into halftime 1-1 with Milan holding the edge.
Barca probably would have gotten a second goal in the second half regardless but it would have been interesting to see how it played out if they were not gifted that second penalty.

Its okay, if I were a Chelsea fan I'd be really worried about this CL run. For one, if they do really well it might just mean giving Di Matteo the job.
Not to mention that if they somehow managed to wint the CL, Roman gets the toy out of his happy meal and might just not have any use for them anymore.
