The other issue, if I recall this correctly, is that it was supposed to be a direct based on their route approval from the Mexican authorities. That is the big reason they filed direct even when they knew they couldn't make it, and then do an in air diversion. So kind of a myriad of potential regulatory violations as well.
This lawsuit may be trying to kind of piggy back off those as well.

I volunteered in Operation Argo at YYC today, which was a simulated disaster scenario. That was fun! Also got to see the Antonov up close. That thing is just massive.
