I do like how they say Tim TEbow will be the best football player because he was a QB of possibly 3 natl title teams and has a heisman. They kicker is , in 2006 Chris Leak was the starting QB and won the MVP of the Natl title game HAHA....
OK lets not go crazy.

Vince Young hasn't yet panned out in the NFL.. but he was one of the greats as far as college QB's go. He's on the all Texas team

well a one loss team isn't done.

OU and UF are great examples, LSU was a 2 loss team and still got into the game.

I think it has to be a loss at the beginning of the year or early enough to rebound and you have to rebound.

It also has to be a good team that you lost to. If you get blown out no matter what part of the year if UF gets blown out of the water next week they are toast.

Its a rivalry but its just no there every year. I wish all florida school USF, FSU, UM and UF played eachother every year. but thats just not going to happen.

(C) It also has to be a good team that you lost to. If you get blown out no matter what part of the year if UF gets blown out of the water next week they are toast.

A- you are a bigger homer than me ..... Look at your posts....You completely ignore everything negative about your team like its not there. I for one was critical of OU both last year and this year thus far. However their Defense reminds me a lot of the 2000 defense, and might surprise Miami and Texas.

PIM KING, Do you believe Utah and or Boise State deserved to be in the national championship game last year because they were undefeated? If you dont , why?

B- After seeing the first few games, I hate to say it but Miami would beat you guys. The weakness in Miami is their pass defense and Florida is not a passing to beat you team. Their run defense is stellar. The reason OU has a chance is because their Spread offense will exploit the horrible secondary of Miami. If they cant pass the ball , they will lose. FLorida would get stuffed in their run game and have nothing to turn too. Thats just my two cents. Florida is a good team but they are no where near as good as the hype around them. They play a weak schedule and that is the only way they get to the N.C. game. If they had to play a tougher schedule they wouldnt make it. If FSU keeps improving , we might see a Florida loss before the SEC title game. We will see if your still posting after that....

C- you lost to ole miss who ended up being 8-4 .... how do you consider that losing to a good team? They lost to vanderbilt for crying out loud

A. I do not I said the lost last year by a point. You argue until you turn blue on how much you have gator envy

BSU and Utah dont deserve it because they play in a non bcs conference. If they did that in the Pac 10 that would be more impressive but really its not. They are a mid major just like gonzaga in BBall.

B. How does UF not have a passing game? Best TE since gresham is done in Hernadez who has speed and has great hands. Deonte Thompson was hurt last week. Cooper is extremely fast and can catch

Florida's Spread Offense runs around the ball exploiting one on ones that are in their favor. Harvin ran the ball better than he caught it but somehow that makes our reciever core bad? they use the misdirection option to open up holes like last week against tenn by doing that it forces teams to stack the box and opens one on ones with the fastest wr's in the country.

C ole miss destroyed and pounded on TT like a red headed step child. You know that other team in the big 12 that was ranked real high.... they curb stomped them like no other

whats your point. We will never see eye to eye. I think OU will lose another game before UF loses one.

Florida D is dominating. Our Running game (what we used last year to win the national championship) is what we do the down the field passing isn't our game. Tebow and meyer dont throw deep often. its the 10-15 yard passes that turn into big plays because all our WR's run 4.4 40's or faster.

Like I stated above our Offense is a running offense always has with meyer always will. the counter read option is what we use tebow takes the snap either hands it off to our wr/rb or takes it himself and then that opens up other plays after a while.

You need to worry about your own team for once instead of dogging the Number 1 team in the country. BTW I would love to play miami this year. we brought back 20 out of 22 starters this year losing harvin and murphy. but we have a guy that was stuck on the bench like Bradford was due to players above him in deonte thompson and cooper. We will be fine and quit your bagging on us.

I feel bad for the kid because what he did was great coming back to the school for a chance to win the NT and getting hurt on week one.

Hey I like bradford, I gotta give the kid credit that he came back this year even though almost being guaranteed a top 5 draft spot. But Tebow knows and I know that hes a great college QB that wont do squat in the NFL.

That was a sweet hit. Its only a matter of time until the NCAA makes that a penalty. Its too bad they might as well make this flag football in a couple of years.

I just saw this..... However , I dont wanna drop it. This is what makes college football so much better than the NFL... the passion that the fans have for their school. I think its part of the college football fun. In all reality I respect the gators and tebow for what they have done, I wish OU had this easy of a path to the N.C..

Fair enough. However, let's get some new material in the debate rather than repeating ourselves 2-3 times because we fail to remember what crap we wrote in previous pages.

PIM: FL rules. OU suck.
nickerjones: No, OU rules. FL sucks. FL doesn't play anyone.
PIM: Yes they do. *fellatio on Tebow*
nickerjones: Cake walk schedule.
PIM: *more fellatio on Tebow* Obscure stat apparently proving a point.
nickerjones: Counter obscure stat.
PIM: NC. 1-loss team. I'm having Tebow's baby.
nickerjones: OU has more tradition (Oiler like glory years reference?)
PIM: No. Tebow has the most tradition and isn't a "ghetto QB."
Other posters: How about non-OU FL, interesting point.
PIM/nickerjones: 10-15 posts about Tebow, tradition, records, NC, strength of schedule, etc...
Clever_Iggy: Change of topic?
PIM/nickerjones: NO! We own this thread.

Perfect!!!!

Oilers had glory years?? I sure am glad I am a relativley new Hockey fan...

OK I'll bite and change the topic..... After this first few weeks who do you guys think are the heisman hopefuls ?
I think my top 3 right now are:
Jahvid Best
Jacory Harris

3 is a toss up ... I thought Dez Bryant from Okie state would be up there but the loss to Houston really hurt. I think Houston's QB deserves to be at number 3.....

.... and Landry Jones at 4 .... hahaha j/k
