Brady won multiple SBs with mediocre supporting casts. You just need great defense is all. In an ideal world of course you wouldn't want to reply on replacement level skill weapons, but elite QB + great D + mediocre weapons seems to be a winning formula.
Having 1 good receiving weapon surrounded by mids was the Saints model under Brees/Payton as well (and Mahomes as mentioned). Elite QBs throw receivers open, and can cover up a lot of warts.
Brees keeping them competitive with mediocre weapons and terrible defenses year after year just makes his run more impressive. But yeah if you wanna pay a QB the high end money you are far better off investing in defense than offensive weapons. OL should be the spend focus on offense before weapons.

OL is what's being missed in the equation IMO.
Elite QB
Strong OL
Strong Defense
That tends to be the formula. You probably need one strong skill position receiver too, but the elite QB can make your 2nd - 4th options look a lot better than they truly are. And the strong OL gives those receivers time to get open too. Tough to cover any receiver over prolongated plays if there is no pressure.
But even Brady seemed to always have at least one guy he could count on.
Yeah, Brees also played behind the best OG tandem in the league with Jahri Evans and Carl Nicks.
Saints tended to prioritize OG over classic OT in that era, as Brees had elite pocket awareness and could avoid the outside rush, combined with at his height (generously listed at 6'0", prob more like 5'11"), the way to get to him was interior pressure and get your hands up. So elite interior OL play was key in that offence.
Curious as to just how bad this Rashee Rice situation becomes.
Reported that he was rhe driver of one of the cars on the pile up, and in Texas his crime comes with upward of 10 years in prison.
Its not Henry Ruggs, but its far worse that Jordan Addison.

Rice is in serious trouble
Sounds like Rice and his buddy were drag racing his fancy cars and caused all of this - luckily no one was seriously hurt
And then fled the scene
Rice won’t be saving my fantasy team next year

Seeing as weed is illegal in Texas altogether any amount is illegal. I think you're probably referencing the social media bait posters who suggested he had a felony amount of weed, which has been naturally disproved. And we all know one of his entourage will be taking the fall for that.

I don't know anything about Texas drug laws. I do know I saw the same tweet you saw from one of those horrible bait posters, but you saw it right away and I saw it later with the follow up tweet saying "oh sorry, we got that wrong". Of course why they don't delete the original tweet shows what they are all about, bait engagement to try and get on the Elon payout teet. Basically should always assume those posters are chasing clout first. Drugs are still way less of an issue than the accident and fleeing itself is mostly my point.

I assume that's why he fled, to try and get the drinking/drugs flushed from a possible DUI test. But yeah as he's volunteered himself as the driver that's where he's exposed. If TV has taught me anything it's that drugs and guns are easy charges to get out of if someone else is willing to take the fall.

The Jaguars and pass-rusher Josh Allen reached agreement Wednesday on a five-year, $150 million contract that includes $88 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The two-time Pro Bowler had received the franchise tag from the Jaguars and was set to make $24 million in 2024 if he played on that tender.
The Jaguars in March put the franchise tag on Allen, 26, who is coming off the best season of his career with a franchise-record 17.5 sacks, tied for second in the NFL last season.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was driving 119 mph before causing a six-vehicle crash last month on a Dallas highway, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by the Dallas Morning News on Friday.
Rice's Lamborghini Urus reached 119 mph 4.5 seconds before the collision, according to the affidavit. A Corvette driven by SMU wide receiver Teddy Knox was traveling 116 mph 7.5 seconds before the chain-reaction collision before slowing to 91 1.5 seconds before the crash.
The crash on the North Central Expressway (U.S. Route 75) left at least seven people with injuries. The two cars "made multiple aggressive maneuvers to get through traffic," the affidavit said.
Rice and four other men were seen leaving the scene of the crash without seeing if any of the injured needed help.
Rice is facing one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury, according to police.
Good God. Thankfully it only has 54 views. The NFL should kick that wack job out of the league. He's not doing anyone any good at this points. I wish the Jets would make an example out of him, and just cut that moron.

Yeah he’s a dumb####. Good to know. Moving on draft day is close!
Rumours that Drake Maye is this year’s presumptive top 3 pick who’s dropping. Allegedly teams have him at QB4 behind Caleb, Jayden, and JJ the saviour. Personally I don’t trust an ACC QB so I’d stay away but hey maybe he’s great
