Yeah, if Hadwin doesn't pull off a miracle I'm going for him and Rory army guys. I'm tired of watching Rahm stare down missed puts for 5 minutes with his arm out, like the putting green is a person that did something wrong to him.

I’ll be pulling for Rory or Hadwin but kind of see Fitzpatrick pulling this off. Rahm will be tough to beat.

Looks like some relatively low scores are possible today and one of top 10 positions could go -3 or -4 today.

Scheffler -2 thru 2, he's definitely the guy I fear could make this boring if he's dialed in.

Didn't take long for this to look like a two man race. Rory would be right there if he could have made some pars.

Was reading where Lowry was pissed at USGA for watering and softening up the greens on day 2 afternoon after he had to play them firm in the morning.

I never knew they did this. Always thought that you played the course as is dependent on what the elements gave you.

Why would they do this?

Yeah, Lowry is completely right that it is unfair, it is something that is rarely done and only done when conditions are otherwise unfair (Shinnecock in 2004 comes to mind).

Three man race it is, back nine is full of tough holes so should be in for a good finish.

Edit: Or two man again, brutal start to the back for Scheffler.

Matsuyama in at -3, you never know, that might be enough

Great battle between Will and Matt. I love seeing a tournament play out between players in the same grouping.

Kinda hilarious that Fitzpatrick might win because he hit a worse tee shot on 15. But in majors, and US Opens specifically, always better to be in the gallery than the rough.

Not looking good in that fairway trap. This could be interesting.

Awful tee shot from Fitzpatrick, door is open for Zalatoris to win this now, but looking like a playoff at worst.

As usual, the NBC crew over dramatized the difficulty of Fitzpatrick's bunker shot

Well that's one way to get out of jail. Now Zalatoris has to attack this to stay alive.

Will just burns the edge of the hole to force a playoff. Great finish by those two.
