I wish we had a dedicated thread where people could complain about broadcasters, leaving the hockey threads to be about . . . . hockey!

It's not that I don't understand what pbp does for people, but the sheer amount of complaining is what is strange. And 99% of comments on pbp are extremely negative. Like, if 99% is awful and ruining your enjoyment of the game, just stop watching

I think part of it (maybe even most of it) is the fact that a much better play-by-play guy in Rick Ball is sitting on the sidelines while we have to endure Paul Romanuk. That said, I think Romanuk mentioned last night that he and Mike Johnson will not be doing game 7, so the complaints should be way down.

If there's one thing this board has taught me, it's that when I get my first play-by-play/analyst gig (what I am currently studying for), I need to be Foster Hewitt-like to be praised.

No the complaints will be there. It's just now they'll complain about whoever we get doing pbp for game 7.

So, I have Richard Matvichuk scoring the winner in game 7. It'll be assisted by Billy Guerin and Derian Hatcher.
 Wait... this isn't 2003!

OK, Vernon Fiddler from Moen and Eaves.

I find myself cheering for the Stars in this series a lot more than the other series that affects my hockey pool. I guess I really want that 1st rounder even though the best it could be is #27.
Hopefully we get the pick and draft someone better than our late firsts in the past (Chucko, Pelech, Klimchuk, etc)

Klimchuk still might be ok, don't give up on him just yet.. Coaches love him.

The only crew I have heard this playoffs that annoyed to the point it was a distraction from game were the Ducks broadcasters. Otherwise I've found the quality of PBP good enough considering some of them are regional.

Or mute it while watching, that's what I did sometime when I get tired at the PBP

Just unplug your center channel on your Ent. Unit and listen to the game itself.

Why are you complaining about people complaining?????
Romanuk is garbage. Fact. I don't need solutions to a non-problem.
He SUCKS. He is the LAST person that should be doing PBP.
Not gonna mute my TV, not gonna not watch hockey.
Just gonna say he sucks becausè it`s true.
Doesn't really require a rebuttal, you're not saying he's not trash, you're just complaining about the fact that people think he is trash and therefore say something about it.

You don't have to reply... He IS trash, if you think otherwise....okay I guess.

Seeing the draft lottery busted for the Flames it sure would be nice to have some good fortune in moving up in the draft not involving balls being removed from a machine.

Is there any chance that Seguin plays tonight?? I'd be a lot more confident if he was there too...
