I'll do what I can to jinx a competitive race, but this has all the makings of one over by Christmas. Arsenal are clearly a level above everyone else, rooting for a Sunderland miracle because we need those types of events to renew faith in the sport, cause lets be blunt it reeks of foul feces right now. Just hyper conservative matches every week and it stinks to watch.

I don't entirely disagree, but I would just note that there is a long way to go. We're technically still in October, and while the month is over as far as games go, we all know that the busiest time of the season, when the fixtures really stack up, can change everything. At this point, they're on top, but they're not scoring from open play (I think that they're 17th), and that kind of thing can catch up to you.

That has been said before.
I’m still concerned at Arsenal’s lack of effectiveness from open play. In the first half against Palace, until the goal, Arsenal had the lion’s share share of possession, but all I can recall was a series of Palace opportunities.

What has Eden Hazard done to deserve a place in the Hall? One EPL title, a handful of individual awards but it's a crime that he gets in ahead of David Silva.
He was absolutely brilliant at his best but by all reports was not a hard worker at all and coasted by on natural talent. Hall of Fame is inherently a pile of wank but you look at previous inductees, the Ian Wrights and Frank Lampards, these are undisputed legends of their clubs and the game in general. Just absurd.

It's been said before but the team has never had its current level of maturity, depth or general talent, with the additions of Gyokores, Eze and Zubimendi to an already impressive squad. But as I said before I don't think it's that outlandish a concept that Liverpool and City are still in the race for first. Safe to say Bournemouth and Sunderland are not contenders.

Gyokeres? I don't know...I'm not sold on him in the least, and I think that he has a lot to prove at this point. I know he scored a ton last year, but the PL is a different animal. You just don't get the same space and time as other leagues.

Best part of some Caribou Cup is seeing all the unknowns and randoms playing and discovering names like Arsenal's Andre Annous. And, of course, hoping his last name is pronounced like, you know.

Genuinely perplexing situation at Liverpool these days. I know that yesterday was the League Cup, and he rested a lot of starters, but I do wonder what is happening with Slot.

I don't think it's perplexing at all. You can't overturn half your squad and expect to to hit the ground running immediately. They miss players like Trent and Diaz, players like Salah and van Dijk are struggling and new signings like Wirtz still need to adapt. All of this takes time.

Sure, and I can see that. But do you think that he's actually in trouble as far as keeping his job goes?
