I'm putting Hunter on that line for the future. To play on that line he just has to keep up and create space for the other two, which he's capable of doing.
Listening to Hunter, man he's got a good head on his shoulders. The Flames invited him to development camp after 2013 draft but he turned it down cuz he wanted to hit the gym and prepare for this draft.
I love his attitude. Calgary is the right place for him to reach his full potential. If he can get his skating up to par he'll be the perfect RW for Johnny Hockey. Equal parts enforcer, energy player and budding power forward. Brian Burke still has a full erection from picking Hunter Smith.
How many people want him in the NHL next year? I'd like him back to juniors
Although an article in THN about the '89 cup run, they talked with many members of the winning team. The way they talked about Gilmour makes me excited about Bennett.
Everyone keeps forgetting about klimchuck to me he is going to be a sure thing top six forward
It's easy to forget about him since he was injured for the camps last summer and fall. Morgan Klimchuk has such good wheels and great hockey intelligence that he could probably play on any line. I would love to see him and Bennett tearing the development camp apart together.
Gaudreau, Baertschi & Klimchuk are all promising. It's just a shame none of them aren't a couple of inches taller!
Let him go back to junior and absolutely dominate I say. There's zero need to rush him into the lineup. It'll be another long season in Calgary, so better for him to round out his game and get stronger, and go experience the World Juniors and dominate against the best his age around world.
I can't think of a World Juniors I'd be more excited to watch than a bluechip Flames prospect leading the charge for Canada. Gonna be an awfully fun year watching his development.

I believe Klimchuk's top potential is 2nd line, with being a 3rd liner being the most probable out come. I don't know if he will be able to produce at a high enough level to be a top-6 player in the NHL.
My wild guess on his progression:
2014-15 - WHL (with a chance of making the World Juniors team)
2015-16 - AHL
2016-17 - AHL/NHL (20 games)
2017-18 - NHL
This is so awsome, years ago all we had was Sven to hope for. Now we have more potential top 6 guys than most teams. If even half our prospects end up playing a regular shift the Flames will be in the playoffs in no time. If we can avoid paying one or two guys way too much we'll be in good shape for a long time.

I don't think we should be expecting anything from jankowski tbh. Admittedly I'm drawing this conclusion based only on his stats from last year but they don't look good at all. Luckily we have two sure thing centre prospects now so we don't even need him.
