yup.

4 years after winning their 1st cup in 2004, they tore it down and proceeded to draft in the top ten 5 of the next 6 years, including the #1, 2 and 3 picks...

That number gets bigger every time someone complains. Fun fact: Habs are also well over the cap.

As happy as I was to see Vegas knocked out, they would have certainly given Tampa a much more competitive series and would have likely pushed it to 6 or 7 games. The only reason they lost was because they couldn't figure out Price.

I more meant they’ve figured out Montreal.

I don't think it matters, Tampa has the best goalie, the best defense, the best forward group. Only a team like the Islanders that is pure heart can trouble them, Vegas showed in the SFs they don't have much heart.

An Isles/Habs series would've been infinitely more entertaining. :|

.

Also 2012 was Cinderella vs Cinderella. The 6th seeded Devils were the lowest ever team to have home advantage in a finals.

haha... I know you did

just a frustrated flames fan watching TB on its way to winning its 3rd Cup, while Calgary has been in neutral for most of the 15 years in between.

Habs are the worst finalists in years.

Also feels like the conference win was their cup and they eased off the gas a bit since.

Celebrated too soon rather than digging in and keeping that momentum going.

Silly Habs...

How many Canadian SCF teams have fallen short now? Canucks, Flames, Oilers, Sens, Habs.. It is getting ridiculous.

I haven't been this disappointed by a team's finals performance since the 2007 Senators.

Interestingly, the 2007 Senators are the only team in the cap era to make the Finals with a 50-goal scorer.

That looked like a massive slash on Caufield, but need to see a replay. MTL fans aren't very objective....

Canucks have fallen short x2 since '93 actually.

No good.
