It may be time to go back to Lindholm with Monahan and Gaudreau as this team is running into issues scoring 5 on 5. Tkachuk seems to be a black hole since getting shown up by Muzzin and is bringing Lindholm down with him.

We've only seen it once every third blue moon, but Tkachuk - Monahan always looked like a good combo. Not fast, but who cares when you always have the puck.

The whole team outside of Johnny and Sean is absolutely useless at 5v5 play...which is weird to see.

No one else generates anything. Such ugly hockey.

I think I'd swap Tkachuk and Bennett for the third and see if that can spark either of those lines.

Nowhere near enough net drive from the forwards, the activated D is useless is everything is outside the dots.

I don't think you counter that with short passes and slow supported breakout. I think you counter with a fast attack before they are ready. Hartley did this very well. Vancouver did it to the Jets recently.

If we put our forwards against their bad D 2 on 2 I like our odds of pushing the play deep and then seeing what happens. Instead it's all slow possession hockey that leads to nothing.

I’d load up the top line for the 3rd. Johnny and Money have been creating chances need someone with a little more talent to help capitalize.

Feel like tough crowd on Tkachuk and Lindholm. They were both on the ice for like 6 of the first 7 goals of the season. I'm not too concerned about them.
