The players really seem to like Gulutzan, that being said, is he perhaps too soft on his players, resulting in them not being able to rebound from anything bad? Yell across the bench at guys once in a while, don't hand various players undeserved shifts, he's maybe too buddy-buddy with the players to speak up during play and let them know they're not playing at an acceptable level. As an assistant coach he never had to get mad at the collective group in Vancouver, he could do his thing and the head coach could rip into them when needed. As head coach Gulutzan might just be too soft to do the same.

The team is clearly in need of a shake up. There doesn't appear to be any accountability between GG and his players and its quickly coming apparent there may not be any accountability between Treliving and GG either.

I don't fault Treliving for making the trades in the first place but that was a LOT to pay for a guy who is really struggling as a #2 and a guy who is really struggling as a #4. Unfortunately you can be judged in hindsight in this business and hindsight ain't lookin' too good.

Personally I don't equate those two trades. You make the Hamilton trade every time with what you knew.
The price for Hamonic was strangely high.
