I find the whinging in the GT more excruciating TBTH.
And I don't mind the constructive comments, either. it's the bad-mouthing that gets me

I worry now that Nashville will get a couple of soft calls in their favour to restore balance to the game.

More and more teams are starting to use it as a viable zone entry on the PP. I'm not a fan, but can't deny it works more often than not.

I agree, it works well when it works but to use it on the PP with less than 5 seconds on the clock is asinine. They could've had a decent chance but instead they ran out the clock and got nothing. Wrong time for that play.

Would be nice to see a guy like Stone who's willing to fire the puck and has some solid oomph to it manning the point. Brodie's role is basically the middle man when they switch from half wall to half wall.

It's amazing how bad the PP has looked since the 10 game winning streak ended. It's like they've completely forgotten what made it successful during that stretch when it was red hot. They'd better fix it soon. You definitely won't get past the 1st round with an ice cold PP.

Not mad about the game situation necessarily
But 5 PP opportunities and they look just listless out there. That's frustrating in a game where they need points.

Goal posts count as missed shots. No point in showing that stat

Yeah, that's true. Three good distribution guys on one PP doesn't seem to fly as well. My assumption is that Cameron want's to have two styles of pp.
You got the distribution E-W to bring it down low then to the slot kind of PP with PP1, and then a more grinding PP2 and distribute to the point with some boom shots.
I think against a strong PP and defence like Nashville, some adjustments should be made. Maybe more PP2 line against a team like this.

Monahan's looking like the useless Monahan from the start of the season. Every play he stops moving his feet once he gets the puck and looks to pass to Gaudreau. Gotta mix it up, it's way too predictable.
Gotta mix up the first PP unit. Once Tkachuk's back I'd swap Versteeg and Brouwer with Bennett and Ferland. Or Stone in place of one of the 2. Teams have figured out that they won't pass to Brouwer for any reason once set up so it's basically 4v4, and they hardly use Monahan either. Gotta change the angle a bit, have the net front guy show for a pass and get more creative.

I thinks it's more of an annoyance of waisting opportunities in an important game. Either way they have a period to go and only down one but the second unit should be the unit that starts out if the Flames get another one.
