And he wasn't even named one of the game's three stars, inexplicably.

This guy eats more shi** than anybody these days from fans and the NHL alike.

Left off the NHL's top 100 list, he was left off a few different hockey site's "biggest omission from top 100" list

When I saw he wasn't awarded a star for the game he just put up, I laughed. Just a joke for a guy who's done so much and continues to get er done!

Love the guy!

There should have been a lot more room to doubt if he was done or not. Duchene, Landeskog and MacKinnon are all good players, yet their point totals are all terrible. We know what kind of player Colborne is, but he can put up good depth points - he turned into a laughably terrible point producer there.

Something is terribly wrong with Colorado. Iginla certainly seems to have a lot more left in the gas tank. Hopefully he keeps it up and helps LA overtake Edmonton.

The question from my standpoint is whether or not he retires. THIS IGINLA can play for the Flames Next Year!!! 🔥

He still has the shot, the hockey sense, the fitness, durability, compete level and desire to win.

He doesn't have speed but he never really HAD speed ever but he has all the attributes to contribute to a team in a solid fashion.

Iginla is a force when he is playing 18 minutes a game and playing with some quality linemates. The entire last year in Colorado was a disaster and I am 100% confident he will have a nice little run with LA.

If he's willing to go to a contender or stay with the Kings for a cheap contract that's bonus heavy ($1 mil a year etc) than he will probably catch on with a team. This isn't the end of a career where the players body simply can't handle the grind anymore or he is constantly injured. I believe he has played in every game this season but the way his Colorado/LA numbers add up, it may only be 80 games due to a higher games played by LA prior to the deadline???

Either way, best of luck to him as long as it's not at the expense of the Flames.

While posting stat line, should probably also include the -2
That Iginla can still contribute on the PP is a given. Also given is that he will likely be a liability 5v5

Did you watch the game? Neither goal had anything to do with him and resulted from give aways by the D and Kopitar.

No, I didn't. I watched the Flames game. They are playing not bad right now.

I will be as happy as everyone else to celebrate every success Iginla enjoys this season (that's not at the expense of the Flames), as long as we don't get nonsense like this all the time:

And yes, I expect my compulsion to dump on the nostalgic euphoria is every bit unnecessary as the Iginla must come back to the Flames stuff is with the others.
I'll try to stay away.

I'll say the same thing today that I said the day we traded him.

I wish Iginla nothing but at the absolute best. So long as it doesnt come at the expense of the Calgary Flames.

Well I had both the Flames game and Kings game on, Flames on the computer and Kings on the TV and I can tell you the -2 had nothing to do with him at all. Looking at the stat line and just assuming he did because he was -2 isn't really the best stance to take when talking about his performance last night. He played very well last night.

Happy for Iggy. Just as long as the Kings remain in the rearview.
