Just like that, we skyrocket past New Zealand.

With the razor thin 4th in shot put good day for Canada

You have to wonder if she's going to go Pro after that win.

Yay no longer tied for 58th in medal standings. We leapfrogged to 22nd. And we are ahead of Brazil! and Switzerland and Spain.
Now we have to target the country of Phelps.hehe

Good for me that the silver medalist was Japanese. Got to see the whole thing, including the medal ceremonies here. In contrast, I haven't seen anything other than Judo, swimming and baseball as that's all the Japanese broadcaster NHK is showing and was unaware that we got a medal in rowing today, as well.

1-1-1-3 is way better then 0-0-0-0.
I'm confused about the wrestling situation though. How does the tournament format work? I assumed with two bronzes being awarded that the loser of the semi final got the automatic bronze, why did Verbeek have to beat the Swede?

Just noticed that 3 out of the 4 people that have been involved with Canada's medals so far are all from B.C.
And Dylan Armstrong, who missed the bronze by one centimetre in the shot put, is from Kamloops, B.C.
Way to represent, B.C.'ers!!

Wow.......that wasn't even close. Love to see what he can run if he actually put in an effort for the entire race.
Still so young, too. Great talent, fun to watch.

Yep. He pulled up a lot at the end there, almost showboating.
And still got an amazing time!
