If he's covering the right point or stays where he was when he made the pass then the puck probably goes right to him.

Ya it was not a pinch, it was a rush chance. Bean has to be able to hit the net. He is a NHL dman for Christ sake. It is reasonable for him to drive the back post, that is the play that almost any player would make on that play.

You don't have to waste a 1st or 2nd.

Meh, who are they going to get that’s cheap that are materially better right now? Bahl getting back will go a long way to slotting everyone correctly.

Got a little heated on the bench between Anderson and Kadri it seems after that 4th goal. Let's use that fire and comeback here in the 3rd.

If the play was always made then you'd never have to cover the point for a pinching dman because he's always going to make the play.
You have to assess the risk there and Bean being the only high man and also being the guy with the puck taking the shot means he has to cover his point men.
It wasn't Bean that pinched, it's that Andersson, Kadri, and Farabee are already below the circles and Huberdeau can't be the 4th guy below the circles

Its 4-2 (should be 4-3) on a couple major mistakes...some of you are acting like the Leafs are all over them. Not the game I am seeing. Flames are beating themselves with a couple uncharacteristic mistakes

For me Huska needs make 4th line useful and D bigger and meaner. Call a couple of players from Wranglers.

We are playing horrible. They are hanging Wolf out to dry.

Sucks cuz they should've been trying them out already. The longer we wait to assess what our options on the Wranglers can do, the more likely Conny makes a trade for some bottom pair guy for a 4th. I know he hasn't shown that yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go for one such trade near the deadline.

Agree that it was unreasonable for Huberdeau to expect Bean to be able to hit the net. Unfortunate he could not hit the net.
We can agree to disagree about whether it was a pinch, don’t usually use that word to describe a rush chance.

The 4th line just needs to be a net-neutral and that would help the team immensely. Don't care about stature and mean-ness. Just don't suck.

Matheson, Soucy, anyone on Seattle or Columbus. #### could probably find improvements in the AHL.

Weak GI call looming large.
Everyone will be slotted better when Zary and Bahl return, but even then, the Flames are short a legit top 4 LHD.

They have given up 4 HD chances in the game...two were really bad mistakes that wound up in the back of the net but this isn't the Jets game from a couple weeks back.

Isn’t he a converted winger? Why not try him on the wing again, can’t be any worse than he is at D.

Well, why teams insist on paying more than league minimum for players projected to be below replacement level is beyond me. They could have signed some AHL journeyman for league minimum and done two free beer games for the same amount of money and been better off on the ice.

I think they are being beaten to most free pucks and their clears are getting intercepted a lot.
