Not to be unpatriotic but I realistically only expect 1 Canadian standing after the 1st round...even then Milos can sometimes put up an early stinker (inexperience?). Nobody is going to prevent the Rafa-Djoker final, but it would be cool to watch Milos take out one or two top 10 guys and scare the hell out of some veteran dirtballers.

Milos gets Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo in the first round. He gets Nadal in the fourth round.

Looks like he could start and finish his tournament with a spaniard.

I got him at 94-1 to win the tournament, Nadal is the favorite 6-5.

Tough draw for Milos. Spaniard in the 1st round.. Argentine Juan Monaco in the 3rd round. That's alot of dirtballers.

Dancevic gets Klizan then Roddick, then Federer.. that's not too bad.

Pospisil gets Roger-Vasselin then Del Potro, that's a horrible draw.

On the women's side:

Wozniak gets a qualifer, then #31 Zhang Zie then #1 Azarenka... pretty decent, she should get to Azarenka.

Dubois gets Pe'er from Israel and then Ana Ivanovic. That's tough.

Also Heidi El Tabakh has won her final qualifying match! She will be placed in the draw tonight!

Well that's weird...I went back to check something and he moved down to 22nd. I feel embarrassed, especially since I'm making back-to-back posts like a geek.

You're not wrong. He's officially 22nd. But right at this moment, if you take away everyone's French Open points from last year then he's 20th

Looks like Roddick is going to be first major upset of Roland Garros.

Roddick should just retire.

Pospisil lost (as expected)

Dubois lost (as expected)

Wozniak beat El Tabakh (as expected)

Venus has just dropped the first set against someone.

Dancevic retires down 0-4 in the first set due to back trouble.

He was married 2 weeks ago to a fitness model... make your own conclusions

Milos cruises 64 62 62. Gets the American Jesee Levine in the 2nd Round. Should be just as easy.

Speaking of Milos....

Nestor looks to be picking Pospisil as his London doubles partner. Great chance for Vasek and it allows Raonic to strictly concentrate on singles.

That and other tidbits:

Cannot believe Serena's collapse yesterday. And thats really all you can call it. Credit to Razzano for not quiting when she had every reason to, but Serena just seemed to lose it for about a 30 minute period and that was that.

This is already the best start to a major ever...the two most obnoxious Americans getting the first round boot? I feel like I just watched the nucks lose to the kings all over again.

I don't really get the Williams or Roddick hate....in fact I quite like Andy (but agree that is career should be over soon).

I guess I like the spicier personalities.

depends on your definition of spicy...I don't mind things like Djoker doing impersonations or saying that beating Federer was like "sleeping with his girlfriend". and even though I can't stand Wozniacki's ass-backwards approach to game development, the presser where she lied about being attacked by a kangaroo, that's entertaining stuff.

the spicyness I don't like is Serena threatening to shove a ball down a linesperson's throat, or never EVER giving credit to an opponent for being good enough to beat her. Roddick is a bit more subdued but still wasted plenty of hours in his career bitching sarcastically at officials. maybe he's just bitter that he had to live in the Federer era, but Serena has no excuse for mistreating the game that gave her so much wealth, fame and glory.

Raonic is playing pretty well against Levine right now. He fought hard...especially in the second set.

Both Milos and Monaco have won in straight sets.
Their 3rd round showdown will be on Saturday morning.

Wozniak vs Azarenka is the 5th and final match on the 2nd court on Friday. Not sure how they can get it in.

Two women's matches and two men's matches

Starting at 11am Paris Time.
1. Ivanovic
2. Sharapova
3. Simon-Wavrinka
4. Djokovic
5. Azarenka

I can't see the last match getting on until at least 7pm (which is good for our viewing!). That Simon-Wavrinka match alone might take days!
