Sorry draftmates! I just got back from New York -- I will have my selection up sometime this evening. Sure glad I wasn't in Calgary for the meltdown on Friday night.

OK, I'm kind of sad to be making my last pick, this was fun.
In the category of Wild Card Hero I take...
Luke Cage, Hero For Hire... wrongly convicted and unjustly imprisoned, was altered in a failed prison experiment that gave him bulletproof skin and super-human strength. He has a take-no-prisoners attitude now!
http://www.comicvine.com/luke-cage/29-1450/
" Power Man and Iron Fist" comics were hands down my favourites growing up. Iron Fist was awesome but Luke Cage was THE MAN and so I had to pick him in this draft. Nobody had better dialogue than Cage. He wouldn't hesitate to call you "jive turkey" or "sucka". It was like watching an old Dolemite movie if he had superpowers! Admittedly, I like the present day shaved-headed street clothes-wearin' hero he has become but nuthin' was cooler than his big yellow disco shirt, chain belt and big afro.
Nobody was cooler than Cage.

Well I have been putting this off for a while as it is a pretty thin category. So from random surfing I found my pick for Canadian - Puck 2.
The daughter of an unnamed Asian woman and Eugene Milton Judd, the diminutive Canadian soldier-of-fortune turned super hero known as "Puck," Zuzha Yu demonstrated superhuman abilities extremely early in her life -- first speaking while still in her mother's womb. For reasons yet to be revealed, Judd was forced to abandon Zuzha when she was still a baby. Never learning the identity of her father, whom she never forgave for leaving her, Zuzha was raised in Canada and attended McGill University in downtown Montreal, Quebec.
Eventually expelled from college, Zuzha was forced to fend for herself and ultimately opened a tavern in the shadow of McGill University. Doubling as both bartender and bouncer, Zuzha would often use her skills to break up bar fights between college students and her local patrons. It was after one of these barroom brawls that Zuzha was approached by Dr. Walter Langowksi, the Canadian hero known as Sasquatch, and offered membership in a new incarnation of Alpha Flight. Although Zuzha initially refused the offer, she was compelled to join the fledgling team after losing a bet to Langkowski. In exchange for her cooperation, Langkowski promised to tell Zuzha his theories as to how she received her superhuman powers.

After a LOT of searching for someone worthy enough, Team Deliciously Evil takes as our last pick, for Female Villain,
Cheshire
Jade's mother was raped by either a French man or U.S. Senator Robert Pullman, it is not clear as of yet. She had a traumatizing childhood as she was sold into slavery. This made her psychotic, beginning her path to become one of the world's most ruthless mercenaries.
She killed her master and was adopted by Weng Chan who taught her all he knew of guerrilla fighting. She was taught poisons by the African assassin, Kruen Musenda a.k.a. Spitting Cobra.
She is a master of martial arts that no longer are thought to exist. She is also a triple-joined acrobat making her moves quick and unexpected. But her most feared weapons are her poisoned artificial fingernails and other weapons and accessories.
She is judged to be the second deadliest assassin in the DC Universe.

As our female hero, The Autobots select the daughter of Banshee, Theresa Cassidy SIRYN.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siryn
I am friends with the girl who played her in the X-Men films, so it seemed like a pretty solid pick to me =D

In the tradition of going WAAAAAAAAAAAAY off the board with my last pick...
Best Costume
Blankman is a 1994 superhero parody film starring Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier, who are both of In Living Color fame. The film was directed by Mike Binder.
Darryl ( Damon Wayans) is a nerdy, child-like man with a genius for inventing various gadgets out of junk. After tragedy hits his family, and when he stumbles on a method to make his clothes bulletproof, he decides to use his skills to become the lowest budgeted superhero ever. His brother Kevin ( David Alan Grier) disapproves of Darryl fighting crime as "Blankman", but soon finds himself fighting alongside his brother as "Other Guy", an easily overlooked partner with no special weapons or crime-fighting abilities.

For our final pick, team Fighty Time! Fighty Time! is ecstatic to select what we consider the original and best Alternate of all time....
BIZARRO!
From wiki:
Adult Bizarro is created by Lex Luthor, who re-created the "duplicating ray" and uses it on Superman hoping to use the duplicate in an attack on Superman. Bizarro does not cooperate and instead tries to emulate Superman. Unfortunately, his attempts to match his original's heroics are clumsy and destructive.
As alternate as you can get imo. Yes, I know there are a jillion versions of him, but methinks it all boils down to alternate superman. Disagree if you want. But it's a sweet pick.
