That would, in fact, be acceptable.

That would indeed be incredible. It would mean that the Jays would have signed the top two position player FAs and the top starting pitcher FA as far as projected WAR goes.

It'd also put them around roughly a $330 million luxury tax payroll.

I'd be just fine leaving the bullpen as is if they did that. Can always tweak it during the season if need be.

Devon Williams to the Mets for 3/45

That'd be like $40 million for two closers if they brought Diaz back, so he must be going elsewhere.

The team closest to the Yankees watched what Devin Williams did last season and said "Mmmm, yes. That please."

Wat.

Ben Verlander is drinking. Such a small chance of that scenario happening. It'll be one or the other.

True. But Santa (Uncle Ed), could feel a little extra jolly during the holidays and sign both. If he could throw some cash towards Diaz too, that would be gravy.

Thanks Santa!

Ed Rogers is also 56 and his dad passed away relatively young (75)

I'm guessing Ed knows this is the best shot to see these Blue Jays win a World Series in his lifetime and could try to go all in.

The team hasn't had many windows of success since they bought them in 2000 and wouldn't surprise me at all if they lean in hard here.

Ban this man. Ban him and then have him arrested. Ban him, arrest him and then have him shot into the sun.

I think Mets gonna Met. There is no such thing as a budget, and their bullpen was a mess down the stretch.

100%

No chance they sign both. To start with - Where does Barger play (Even ignoring Lukes)

I think he was saying the Jays are the top contender to sign each/where he predicts knowing they wont sign both. You see lots of top 40 predictions showing Jays on 4-5 guys, but realistically they wont sign them all

What would suck after all this hype is getting neither.

I'm not saying that I think they'll sign both, but it wouldn't effect Barger much if they did. They two guys it would effect the most would be Tony Taters and Lukes. The only way it effects Barger is if he falls flat on his face, but then you wouldn't want him playing anyways.

The Toronto Blue Jays and right-hander Cody Ponce are finalizing a three-year, $30-million contract, sources told Jeff Passan of ESPN.

Ponce went 17-1 with a 1.89 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 12.6 K/9 en route to being named the 2025 KBO MVP.

Those stats are silly, wow. Would be nice if he was in the same universe as those next season.

Now do Tucker and Bo!
