No but if he's only slightly hurt it's possible we get back to seeing one five hole goal against per game again. I swear that his groin issues played into his weak five hole earlier this year.
No. He has always had a weak 5 hole. Like every goalie they all have a weakness his has ALWAYS been his 5 hole. Taller goalies seem to have that.
Lol CNN has been taking Trump down because that's their political agenda...
I'm betting he survives all the bad press and investigations and is re-elected.
Now let's just talk about awesome things like the Flames!
O god... you either live in Oak bay, Langford or Sydney... either that or you were the guy at the tillicum Starbacks wearing the infowars t shirt the other day.
I 100% agree with this. When the Flames drafted him, I thought he was almost a waste of a pick, and was going to be a career AHL'er. When he got to the AHL, I started thinking that there might be something there after all, and he has legitimate upside. Then I saw him last year and half of this year, and felt he was so easily replaceable.
Mangiapane is helping the Flames win. Not just the odd time he scores now, but he seriously makes strong plays on almost every shift out there, and he seemingly never takes his foot off the gas. He's an NHL'er, and I believe he is capable of quite a bit more as his development progresses. Will be fun to watch how good he becomes, and what his role will be. His development so far reminds me of Paul Byron... but has out-scored Byron at every comparable level at comparative ages. I am definitely paying attention to this kid a lot more again, and I am becoming a big fan of what he is bringing every night. He is on a trajectory right now to become a more offensive player than Paul Byron, which should make people (like me) who thought it was a mistake to waive Byron that year happy again.
That's his yeast mode.
Mangiapane will continue to rise.

I'm not sure what infowars is.... but I do know I dont live in any of those 3 neighborhoods.
Not sure what your post means.

Does anyone else feel weird about YouTube videos heavily featuring children? Feels a bit exploitative to me. I hope some of that sweet baby shark money is at least going towards those kids' future
I have to give Islanders fans props for being gracious losers. Lots of comments about how well the Flames play and how skilled they are and admittance that the Islanders played well but Flames better. This is contrary to the Oilers fan narrative that the entire league rolls over for the Flames.

Well, someone said this PGT was an adventure....I think so too!!
Can't whine about the reffing (always the first cue)...
Can't whine about Smith's goaltending (another fave)...
Can't whine about GG's hair, looking at the floor (oops, that was last year)...
Can't whine about the PP being no good...
Can't whine about TJ Brodie making a dumb mistake that cost a goal...
And for me, can't whine about Neal because...well, hmm...he wasn't in the lineup?
I guess I'll just have to be pleased and happy that the Flames totally dominated the Isles for long stretches, played a fast, responsible game, gave them very little (and seldom!), checked their bananas off all night long, the goaltending was excellent, and we got not only a candidate for goal of the year, but save of the year. Oh, and we seem to have a coach that is level-headed and smart, and calls it as he sees it. And a GM that didn't sell the farm (Jarmo, can you hear this?) in an attempt to get further down the food chain.
Discipline, up and down the lineup, and into top management. I love it.
I remember in years past this team lived and died by the first line. I think it’s a huge reason they missed last year when Monahan and Ferland got hurt...
You’re right about this, but I think you are misremembering. Ferland missed only five games last year, and he played all of them down the stretch. Monahan’s injury completely neutered him and Gaudreau in March. The other devastating injury was Tkachuk’s concussion that ended his season. Those two injuries spelled the end for the Flames.

After reading the ATL from this, and the last Isles game, I have a lot or respect for Isles fans.
Absolutely - some of the best in the league. Props also to the fans at the game - their chants and support were great as well. Loud, supportive, and timely.
Also, they Hamonic. That alone puts them near the top.
I will be rooting for them in the east, but I suspect they won't be around long, unfortunately.
Derek Ryan may end up being one of Treliving's best-ever signings. Reminder -- he's actually on pace for his worst ever offensive season and his shooting percentage is way worse than it was last season, and yet he's been so good anyway.
He plays a different role on this team, and the 2nd PP unit hasn't been as good.
But either way he does a lot of small stuff right that fans don't see. Great signing.

haha well to be fair this is only his third season.
And while his shooting percentage is way worse that might be the norm, it's hard to gauge a guys career averages when he's only in his third season and 32 years old. Love what Ryan's brought to the team from December onwards but I'd expect the 10 goal 30 point version of him not the 15 goal 40 point one. Which is impressive from a 3rd/4th line role. Jankowski and him and complimented each other's hot streaks and games all season long.

It’s so refreshing to have a team that can step up when the top guys aren’t going. That’s the sign of a good hockey team.
I have no complaints tonight, and those of you whining about Neal in a PGT after a win in a game he didn’t even play in are ridiculous. Just enjoy the win. Life must suck when you constantly need to find something to be upset about. There’s only one hockey team in the world better than ours right now! When’s the last time you can say that? Just enjoy the ride because before you know it we’ll suck again and it might be a long time before we get to see a Flames team like this again!
"Oh Noes, all our scoring is by the first line - we have no secondary scoring!!!"
"Oh Noes, the top line isn't scoring, we are only winning because of secondary scoring!!!".
I just love how we can just go on a quiet 6 game win streak this season, just playing a solid brand of hockey and winning game after game without making a big fuzz about it. Like it's nobody's business and this is just the way it is supposed to be. Also we finally have two goalies who are both playing well and winning games at the same time.
Flames are #2 in the league and 4 points ahead of #3, yet didn't even make 2 of the TSN clowns' top 5 'analysts'. This is the 3rd 5+ game winning streak, they have double the wins of their regulation losses (Leafs and Sharks are below), and they still are passed over as if they do not exist.
The Flames post All star game slump was better than the Oilers recent 'positive' push of 3-5-2. And somehow the Jets are seen as the team to beat despite being 9 points below the Flames.
Been lurking since the 'Cowperson' years and though there was a lot more positivity in the GTs back then, I get the negativity somewhat given the past decade. I say let people who need to vent vent ( or press 'ignore') and focus on the most exciting Flames team in 15 years! Although I'm a Guy Chouinard fan boy through and through, I envy all of you who can be there Saturday to honor the greatest Flame of all time.
