^^ Ugh. Hopefully just precautionary.

So are these last two games basically preseason games -- let the starters play a half, then in come the backups? I know the rosters aren't as big so you can't do wholesale substitutions; however, I have to think guys like Cornish, Mitchell, Hughes, etc. get some time to sit...

Great news about McDaniel, not so good regarding Hughes. Well, no sense rushing Charleston back, let him rest until the West final and hopefully he'll be good to go for the game that matters.

Hi Guys

We managed to get Bo-Levi on our podcast last night for an hour and a bit of Stampeder talk and predictions.

Just follow the link in the thread

http://forums.cflhorsemen.ca/topic7146.html

Don't forget to listen to prior shows, we've been blessed to have a lot of Stampeders on the podcast over the last few years and its always great to hear them relax and take off their media faces.

Happy we'll see the Outlaw 3rd jerseys in the game against the Bombers

Hopefully we'd see the helmets again next season

Injury updates on @jonnycornish and @mauriceprice17 --> http://ow.ly/DKwPP #calstampeders #cfl

Quote:
As a result of injuries sustained in Saturday’s game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, neither running back Jon Cornish nor receiver Maurice Price will make the trip to Vancouver for Friday’s regular-season finale against the BC Lions.
However, both players are progressing well and they are expected to be in the lineup when the Stampeders host the Western Final at McMahon Stadium on Sunday. Nov. 23.

If they play west final great but I'm not holding my breath. Concussions are a nasty business.

This year is feeling a lot like last year where the Stamps haven't really played anything of importance in awhile, and they have injuries to key players going into the Western Final. It seems to me that when the Stamps play well in the playoffs it coincides with with years where the team gets increasingly better week-to-week post labour day and the standings dictate they have to play meaningful games in October.

I question whether this year's team is going to be ready mentally, physically, and strategically to play a winner-take all game in sub-optimal weather against the Eskimos.

Oddly enough I can see a team like the Als winning it all this year as they resemble the kind of team who's hot when it counts, has gone through a lot of adversity at the start of the year and has bettered themselves week-after-week.

Last I heard he had a setback and was put back in the walking boot. I would expect that he's day to day and they probably won't rush him back

That is good news but like the NHL, I am sure come playoff time, the status of players is kept hush hush until the lineups are actually released.

Drew Tate to start against BC. BLM will also see some action though.

Also, McDaniel and Charbonneau-Campeau expected to play.

Defensive lineman Demonte Bolden practiced with the team Tuesday for the first time since breaking his leg September 13 against Toronto. Defensive end and sack specialist Charleston Hughes, who injured his foot in that same game, is expected back on the field Friday.

If Hughes is back for the WF that would be a huge boost to the Stamps defense...

Agreed - The Stamps pass rush has definitely missed Charleston and it would be great to have him back terrorizing opposing QB's.

Fortunately for the Stamps, Hughes replacement in the lineup played well during his absence. Shawn Lemon's play also improved tremendously. Of course NOONE can replace the Sackmaster. He is pretty awesome whenever he plays and he seems to attract a lot of double-team that makes one of the DLine open. I really hope he will be back in the Western Final.

Coach Hufnagel says Maurice Price has gone through protocol and is good to go. #Stamps

Does that mean they cured his case of "Cold Weather Dropsies".
Because if not - I'd rather not have him in the lineup.

Im interested to see if Eric Rogers will dress for the Stampeders in the WSF, he was solid in his two starts.

As of now, the long range forecast for November 23 is +2 and sunny. Let's hope that holds up!

Sounding ominous on the Charleston Hughes front. Team is taking wait-and-see approach. If he does return, it'll be at less than 100%. #CFL
