Not true Cap'n. Acoording to every single habitual user I have ever talked to, there is no possible way in any way shape or form that Marijuana can possibly ever have any posisble adverse effect of any kind on your brain or physical being ever in the history of ever. So your arguiment is invalid.
Tell your stoner friends that old Cypress Hill CDs aren't the final word on the effects of marijuana.
There are a whole host of negative symptoms associated with long-term marijuana usage. (Molesting kids isn't one of them.)
There aren't too many things in this world that you can burn and inhale every day without "posisble adverse effect of any kind on your brain or physical being".

Again, I thought green text was optional on this forum.
It was a satirical comment on how everyone that smokes pot thinks that there is zero net effect on their brains or body. Like it is some sort of magical inhalant that has no consequences, in fact many will tell you it makes them better. There was a poster on here a while back that claimed there has never in the history of marijuana use, been a single case of lung cancer.
I grew up with a group of guys that smoked it and 2 were very heavy users, and both still are. Coincidentally both are total bums (one still at home at 36), with zero ambition besides getting another bag of weed. And I don't think it is a coincidence they are both space cadets and seriously mentally deficient more so than when they were in their teens, they went backwards. Anyone who claims it is not habit forming is out to lunch. Anything can be habit forming, from video games, to hamburgers to sex. That claim is just a defense mechanism drug users use to get people off their back. "I can quit at any time, man" Well one poster in this thread already admitted to tough withdrawal symptoms.
Hey, I am a cigarette smoker, and I use the same defense to get people off my back that try and suggest I quit. I am addicted, and I know it.

Everything in moderation. Even too much water can kill a person. Have you seen this latest study that claims alcohol is more dangerous than herion or crack?
"Alcohol is a more dangerous drug than both crack and heroin when the combined harms to the user and to others are assessed, British scientists said Monday."

I agree with you to an extent, but I also think a lot of it has to do with personality types and the possibility of pre-existing mental health conditions. I smoked quite a bit of pot from ages 15-20 but then decided I didn't like the feeling anymore so I quit. I've also experimented with quite a few other drugs and have never felt addicted or had them negatively impact my life. On the other hand, I've definitely missed work because I was hungover.
Most of my friends smoke pot and some are also into harder drugs and there's a pretty good mixture of fully functional people and also some that are unable to hold on to the most menial jobs. The majority of the ones that seem to be unable to perform in the real world also struggle with pretty severe depression. I doubt pot helps but it's hard to say if they'd be any better at holding jobs even if they weren't smoking it everyday.
