Great episode.

Glad to see the brothers make it in just before the Losing couple. I could not stand them.

As for the the Gay guys. Them I dont like. First episode they were saying they hated the borther b*#@ches. Then the 2nd espisode they are all worried about them and acting like they like them. a bit two faced for me.

Rob and Amber. I agree they should have slowed down and asked if they were ok. BUt its a race for a million. The show would make sure the guys were fine and taken care of them. no need to stop. As for them getting help. well other teams on earlier shows got help from folks as well. Guides and such. So its a bit easier for Rob and Amber who cares. Help is Help. The show showed it can also hurt them a bit. Probably could have left the Hospital earlier if not for the fact they needed to hug all the nurses and Doctors..

overall I am rooting for the Brothers or Rob and Amber to win

Full credit to the old couple. Takes alot of Character to keep going on like they have been.

I'm glad Phil called robandamber out at the end of the episode. "so you didn't even stop?" hehehehe. I think Phil was about to cry when he asked the old people for all their posessions. I was hoping he would ask gretchen for her head bandage and stitch too. hehe

I have watched all 7 seasons and one thing i'm still confused is, do they have to drive the speed limit?? I'm sure the camera guy can monitor that, but i mean if they dont' what if they smoke some innocent pedistrian? I would definately drive 140km everywhere!
I remember in earlier shows there were instructions telling them they were not allowed to speed. Not sure if they still get those.

Also I would assume that other than a camera guy they might also have a producer type there to ensure that everything went smoothly in regards to the locals and to ensure that there would be no legal issues arising out of the actions of the teams. Could be wrong though it did look like there was a woman holding the head of the camera guy after the roll-over and I had no idea who she was or where shoudl sould have come from.

Perhaps that was the Guide that was sent along with teams while they drove.

It was mentioned that each team would have a guide just in case. We never really did see any of them.

I am suprised we have not seen anyone get a ticket on any of the shows. Since pretty much all of them speed along when they drive.

Did anyone else noticed Deanna's eye at the end? it was like she was punched out or something. Maybe that Ray guy punched her out because she was the weak link of the team?

I'm pretty sure there were no speed limit signs in the middle of the desert. I don't blame Rob & Amber for not stopping, things looked under control, they know they aren't going to get help from anyone, so why give it out? I agree though, it would have been smarter to at least give the appearances of concern by doing the drive by "are you ok?".

I find the remarks of Lynn and Alex to be more offensive than anything R&A have done. I am not referring to the stereotypical homosexual behavior either. The reaction to the guy thrusting the spear made me laugh, but other comments about driving through Compton, Tupac, and the like really tell me these guys have a fair bit of prejudice in them. I hope they lose soon.

Hats off to Merideth and Gretchen for fighting through as much adversity as they have, but holy cow, 50 years of marriage to Gretchen's voice would have me praying for the day I needed a hearing aid, so I could shut it off!

Glad to see the abusive (Ray?) guy gone... I would say the dating on again off again is 'off again'.

any one else notice during the throwing competition Lynn or Alex I cant remember which stood like 5 feet from the bag and everone else was like 10 feet away.

How was that allowed? Kudos to them for getting away with it. To bad others did not do the same.

Maybe the crazy little bushman was confused and thought he was a girl?

They do lose them for the rest of the race. Phil said somrthing about that when he scammed their gear. I can't imagine. That'll be tough, especially when they get dirty and or soaking wet.

Meredith still has his wedding band on, and I think Gretchen might too - could always pawn that. They started that leg with no travel money, does that roll into the next legs too? Otherwise I don't think that losing your gear is that big a deal - big a few cheapie t-shirts along the way and use the powers of B.O. to your advantage. Might even be better, as you won't have to worry about checking in bags.

If the race moves to climate specific areas, the teams are provided gear. In AR5 when they came to Calgary they magically sprouted ski gear, coming from Manila.

This would be a whole lot more interesting if they lifted the "you must not fight or do harm" with your fellow Racers rule.... slashed tires, getting people tied up in customs for cavity searches, running them off the road Spy Hunter style....

Okay now I get it. There were two episodes.

I saw the Oldsters give up their stuff and I switched off the TV. I thought it was over. What a dummy I am.

If this happens again would one of you clever lads fill me in please. I am obviously too hopeless to look after myself.
They are showing a re-run of this episode on this upcoming Sunday evening, IIRC.

I think that was from dickhead Ray bonking her with his piece of wood when they were doing the food challenge. Never could stand him, glad to see them gone.

Good on the old folks and the brothers for perservering in this one. I still like Rob and Amber, but they should have at least slowed down and asked if anyone needed assistance (although I can also see their point in not stopping, as there were already a number of people helping. What good could they do that 6 others couldn't already?)

Great episodes, although I missed a good portion of part 2 as I only set the VCR for an hour (doh!) My wife rules for seeing my error and taping the rest for me.

Loved the orphanage part, you really have to feel for those poor kids. A pretty bleak future for most of them.

The water tower challenge was crazy, Dena rocked for getting across. Ray was almost helpful toward her, WTF happened to that in part 2?

Meredith and Gretchen kicked some ass. that woman has spunk! "Get the clue, Meredith, I'm alright!" Nice!

The Brothers are certainly a likeable bunch. Bad break with the rollover and a terrific recovery. I'm hoping they win.

Rob and Ambuh......Rob is going to get razzed big time for the spear incident. the first time I've seen he and Amber almost argue ("I'm asking you to make a decision.") Good comeback to finish 2nd.

Uchenna and Joyce also did well. Nothing memorable, really nice people, hope they finish well too.

Lynn and Alex. What a pair of drama queens (pun intended) They're great for sound bites and laughs, but they're too whiny for my liking. Best line of the shows (oh my God, we're in Compton.........or the Tupac comment. ROFLMAO!)

Good stuff, can't wait til next week when we see the most boring couple get into an argument.

Her eye looked messed up when they finished first in the first hour.
