Are you going in for a full physical or just getting your testicles examined for a concern?
If it is a full physical, it's gonna be a quick look and feel. I know you mentioned you were concerned about an erection, but if its a routine physical, I think you're going to be okay! Just make sure you do go, especially if you are concerned.

It is quite possible that it is the least erotic thing involving your testicles that you will ever do. I was worried about popping a boner and well frankly it was never an issue when I had mine done. It was a woman if memory serves me correct. Frankly the only thing I cared about was getting the colour of my boys back to normal.
I have to say, why would you care? If you honestly have concerns as far as your junk goes, the very last thing on your mind should be "will I get wood if a female doctor inspects it?"
The very possibility of cancer would be enough of a scare for me that wood would be absolutely impossible in that situation.
I had an ultrasound on my testicles. It was the most emotionally painful, embarrassing thing I've ever had to go through, especially after the attractive nurse squirted the slippery goo they use for the exam on my balls.
I also had to get an ultrasound on my testis a few years ago. Having the original male doctor poking around down there was unpleasant, but so was having the female doctor spread that goo around.
If I had to do it again, I really would not care about the gender of the doctor, it would just be somewhat uncomfortable either way. Either way, the only thing I cared about was the results of the test.
