They were saying tonight that this rescue mission will have more tv viewers then the world cup final. This is pretty amazing to watch this.

Let's see, the average attention span is about 42 seconds.... so nope, don't think I'm going to make it.

Crazy, being a family man, it brought a tear to my eye. Great to see people pulling together for good things like this when all we typically hear in the news is bad.

Good job boys. Now lets get the rest of them to the surface. Very compelling. And I thought I had a rough month...

I'm speechless. The whole process is so amazing. I can't believe the whole scope of this operation. It's weird seeing it all play out so clearly on television.

I'm sick to death of people banging on Edmonton. Sure, it's fun to make fun of the Oilers and mullets, but Edmonton is a very nice place to live, and I enjoy it very much here.

If you actually have a life...where you live is irrelevant. Edmonton included.

That's nice. I lived in Edmonton for several years in the 90s and have been here for work for the past year. Don't have a problem with the city at all but I'm itching to get back to my house in Calgary. I believe homesick is the correct term.

LOL, only on CP does a feel good, internationally watched rescue story thread...... turn into an Edmonton bashing thread.

And for the record, as a lifelong Calgarian, I actually find visits to Edmonton somewhat refreshing. As hokey as some things there can be, at least it hasn't turned into a phoney, stuck up, snooty overrun by d-bag 'cosmopolitan' wanna be like Calgary.

Keep it real you bruised leg Mullet worshipers!
