Asylum has been reviewed by several critics before its initial release, with receptions being mainly positive. James Zahn of Kick-Axe gave the album 4 axes out of 5 summarizing is review by stating "Admittedly, I've long respected DISTURBED as a band, while not considering myself "a fan." ASYLUM has changed that."[19] Also, giving the album a positive review, Merlin Alderslade of Rocksound stated "‘Asylum’ won’t set the world alight, but it’s certainly not monotonous enough to send anyone to the madhouse."[20] Gary Graff of Billboard gave Asylum a short and positive review ending with " There are enough brains and brawn to make this an "Asylum" any head-banger would be crazy to avoid."[17] Damon Harrison of Rinse Review Repeat said of Disturbed and Asylum "Disturbed have hit a nail with their hammering aesthetics, finally, and build an aggressive foundation that’s sure to leave both fans critics alike standing firm in their territory."[21]

I went to the last disturbed concert at the roundup. Those tickets sold out like mad, and I missed out. I paid $200 for 2 tix on ebay, then my buddy dropped out so I was stuck with 2 tix for that concert. Most expensive concert i've ever been to.

Ouch! That sucks man.
I was happy to see that they went to a bigger venue this time. More tickets and great prices.
BTW, There are still tickets available!

Here's six tracks from the album. I'll be seeing them for the first time in about a month at the Uproar Festival in Winnipeg. I bought my tickets through the official site and they're hologram tickets.

I just wanted to say that I think this album is absolutely fantastic. I really love it. Each song is well written and the band's sound has been perfected. They have subtly moved over the years from alternative metal into more of a (very) hard rock genre but they do it very well.
Also, Asylum debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 making this Disturbed's FOURTH album in a row to do so. Only two other bands have ever achieved this feat (Metallica, Dave Matthews Band).
Very talented guys. If you don't believe they are talented, take a listen to these great covers:
And my favourite songs on the album, Warrior and The Infection:

I think Indestructible is a way better album (my favorite), but Asylum is an awesome song, I have been listening to it like crazy the past 2 days. The singing in it is awesome. AWWHH!
