Pretty much any sound when I'm trying to sleep, at least when trying to fall asleep or back to sleep.
A ticking clock can drive me INSANE when I'm trying to go to sleep.
Then in the morning if I wake up b/c the phone rings or something and I wake up but I'm still so tired I want to go back to bed. I'll lay there but I can hear people up and about in my house. They'll be quiet just long enough for me to get near sleep and then BAM I hear footsteps, laughter, a phone ringing, footsteps etc. It drives me nuts. Just be silent for like 10 minutes so I can get back to sleep and then you can go back to making noise.

Breathy eaters. You know, the people who breathe really loudly out of their nose while they eat. I shouldn't be able to hear a person breathe at all, ever.

Edit: not just the sound of them touching, but the texture annoys me too. I can't drink from a styrofoam cup or eat from a styrofoam to-go container. BLEH!

Oh good call on the splish splash telus commercial. I'd also like to add the Chicago Blackhawks goal song. On it's own I hate it, but played after a Hawks goal I hate it even more.
The squeaky crunching noise when walking on exceptionaly dry powder snowfall...it tortures me, It creates an uncomfortable feeling in my neck, in between my shoulder blades, and in my eyes. I can feel it even thinking about it.

That is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world. I love walking slowly on fresh snow and hearing that lovely crunching sound. Especially if I'm wearing new shoes.
I also love the sound of stepping on melting ice. You guys know what I'm talking about. When melting water flowing creates a buffer between the ice and the sidewalk and when you step on it, it makes that wonderful crunching noise.
I also LOVE stepping on dry leaves in the fall. That sound is glorious.
But I digress... this thread is about horrible sounds.
Edit: Russic, I thanked your post because I hate that song. But I removed my thanks because you posted a video of the song and I clicked on it. Now I'm annoyed.
I really hate it when people chew loudly and breathe heavily. Or when there's a booger in their nose and it whistles.
I find absolute silence a nail biter
The whistling booger cracks me up...I find that to be more comedic than annoying...especially if you can see the other persons booger flapping in the wind...even more so if the person is trying to tell you something serious.
