The yanks don't give a *&^% about anyone but themselves. Don't anyone ever forget that!
Sure this was a nice piece, but I believe the average Canadian is more grateful of being a neighbor to the Americans then vise verse.
When the fact of the matter is it should be the other way around. The USA needs us more then we need them.
Frankly I am sick and tired of the lack of credit that we get as Canadians. Is it because we are so modest? I'm not exactly sure. Watch fox news for an hour and it will make you lose hope in humanity.
I strongly dislike the whole American attitude and mentality.

You can have a good quality of life down south too. I think Canada and the US are very similar that way.
What I think Canada does better is the whole government and ruling the country thing.

We're more socially liberal, which I love, we have a universal healthcare system although I'd like to see private alongside it to help out the public system like Alberta is trying to do more of, and I don't like that Canada isn't more fiscally conservative.
I love both countries, just glad I live here because of the religious aspect to the US and especially politics.

I agree with everything but the last part. Well I maybe agree to a certain extent, but both governments have their share of problems. Both countries have their divides which makes certain things tough.
I think the U.S.'s problems are more known due to simply the way media currently works, but the sponsorship scandal is definitely one issue that comes to mind when I think of poorly run gov't.
I've lived in both countries, and really to me choosing where to live comes down to hot weather vs. free health care.

I just hate how much the Americans hype themselves on everything they do and have done. It makes me want to puke.
My issue probably isn't with the majority of Americans. Mostly the media and the flag wavin crowd.
