Yeah, Senators vs Lightning in Tampa the year the Lightning won the Cup. The best regular season game I've ever seen. And there was even a fight in the stands - between two Senator fans!

I once in a softball game I played in saw a teammate get a triple play. Runners on 1st and 2nd. As the short stop, caught the line drive (1), tagged the runner on 2nd (2), and threw the runner out on 1st (3).

That was pretty cool.

Game 2 of this year's ALDS:

- first game in new Yankee Stadium
- A-Rod ties games with 2 run homer in the bottom of the ninth
- Twins load bases in 11th with no outs and fail to score a run
- Mark Teixeira walk off homer that lands a couple of rows in front of me

1998 (When it was CART)

Saturday Qualifying at the 98 Molson Indy Vancouver, Standing 6 feet away from the Fastest Open Wheel Cars in the world as they passed by me doing 180 MPH and being scared $h&#less while the chain link fence waved back and fourth right in front of me.

Then meeting, shaking hands and getting autographs from Alessandro Zanardi and Tony Kanaan.

Zanardi clinched the 98 Championship on Sunday with a 4th place finish.

Sadest part, I was able to meet Zanardi again in 03 in Vancouver, just over a week later, Zanardi would be involved in a horrible accident in Lausitz Germany that in effect took both his Legs from the middle thigh when Alex Tagliani's car split Zanardi's car in two.

Zanardi is a Hero in my eyes.

Just to clarify:

NASCAR: Tin topped full body cars that mainy turn left on high banked oval tracks for a minimum of 3 hours, main focus is crashing, bumping, punting and all out door slamming.

Formula 1: An ever evolving (dumbed down) version of "Open Wheel" Racing with mainly European venues and Tracks, Rules & technology that results in Pole winners being race Winners. Very little in terms of actual competition.

INDY CAR: Was born out of the Hullman/George Family's desire to "take over" American Open Wheel Racing by first banning CART Owners & drivers from participating in the (once Heralded/And now a Big Joke) INDY 500, Then a complete split from CART that was created by Tony George, Then an Exodous of CART Teams. What exists now, is the biggest JOKE in all of motor sports.

CART/Champ Car:

Up until 2005, CART/Champ Car, was the most competitive and level form of "Open Wheel" motor sport on the planet. The competition was never more "Driver Oriented" and "Driver Skill Based" than it was when Champ Car/CART were in play.

No other Racing series has Ever put Man before Machine more than CART!

Game 3 of the 2008 Quarterfinals against the Sharks. Flames lost the game, but it was my first Flames playoff game since game 7 of the 1994 Quarterfinals against the Canucks, when we lost that also.

Now I know why I don't attend many Flames games.

or,

The NJPW / TNA Supershow in Tokyo, Japan. Gawd damn, those Japanese know how to wrestle.

Too bad the drivers were mediocre eh?

How did the great Sébastien Bourdais do in F1 again?

I'm sorry, Kart = AHL, F1 = NHL

And some people might like that cause its more competitive and more suprising, but I like watching the best of the best, compete with the best.

Kinda like watching Junior Hockey versus Professional, some people love sloppy, faster hockey of Junior, but to me nothing beats the best of the best.

A few come to mind...

-World Juniors Canada versus Soviet Union 1991, not a final but the last game and it was for the gold
-World Juniors finals this year. The crowd before overtime was as electric as the Dome during the 04 run
-Flames 04 clinching game vs San Jose...I think they played Ring of Fire for 5 minutes after the game ended.
-Cannons winning the pennant in 98 on a home run in the last home game of the year in front of 8000 fans.

1. U21? Championships (Soccer) up in Edmonton at Commonwealth a couple years back was a pretty crazy experience despite it being Group play and Portugal vs. Chile

2. 2001 Conference Quarter Finals Kings @ Avalanche game 2. Back in the day the Avs were my favorite team, with Roy, Bourque, Sakic, Forsberg, Blake etc. best hockey game i've ever been to.
