He's all smoke and mirrors with guys like that. He'll be fun to watch until one of the inmates inevitably figures it out. Then he's done. +/- episode 4.
fwiw if I was working under him I'd quit tomorrow.

People talk in this game, I think they will figure him out possibly next week and he will then be gone pretty quick.

yeah, that's pretty much what I was implying, but while he's around we're in for a ride, I mean did they even show any of the other tribe in camp after their little house building talks??? I think he'll last longer then week 4, might be 4th of his tribe but i doubt they'll loose 4 straight weeks, plus the survivor ads have been pimping him too hard to for him to be out next week.
As for quitting if he was your boss, right... I call BS right now
You might not like him but doesn't have that swager because he's not successful.

Ok fine. How about I'd want to quit, and feel justified about wanting to quit, but totally puss out? Happy?

One thing about people who survive in Edmonton is that they're probably used to others trying to stab them in the back.....
Russel is a pretty evil character. When they showed that he owned an Oil company, the first thought that came to me was this guy isn't going to let anyone know that, he's probably worth millions.
The funniest thing is that the Rocket scientist tries swimming with Jeans on. I mean come on buddy, I'm a bottom of the fricken barrel out of work draftsman, and I know that trying to swim in a pair of tight jeans just ain't gonna work. I was surprised that the African American guy played Water polo though. It's not too often that the big strong African American guy they have in Survivor is much of a swimmer.

Russell is a grade A+ D-bag! I don't mind the whole lying, scheming part of reality shows (in fact I think it's the best part) but when it starts getting malicious, that's just not cool. You don't need to do stuff like that to win the game. People like that on reality shows always make it to about the mid-point when it starts getting more individual and then people get rid of them. As long as there are multiple tribes, he'll be there. I will be absolutely shocked if he ends up winning, let alone be in the finals. People always end up talking to each other, even if they're not tight with each other. The tribe will figure it out eventually.
Am I the only one who didn't get the anger by Ben towards Marissa? He had a huge hate-on for her! Didn't see how that one came about.
Good opening show. It's laying the groundwork for a good season I think. Samoa looks beautiful and it looks like there's a huge range of personalities. Oh, and there's more beautiful women then any other survivor to date (even though one left tonight )

I like Russell so far. The sad (made up) story about his life, sweet. Dumping out all the water to de hydrate his own team, loved it. Burning that guys socks, awesome.
Too bad a hot girl always goes early, usually before the old people get culled.

Early on, I can't stand Russel and Ben. I can see Ben's hillbilly ass sticking around for a while but I can't see Russel making it past the next tribal council for his tribe once the people in the tribe start talking to each other.

Rocket scientist guy is gone in the nest 3 rounds. There's a difference between talk and action.

I really hope Russel manages to stay a long time, but with the way he's working, he's going to fast. I think it's absolutely hilarious that he's a multi-millionare, lying out his ass and trying to prove a point.
He's going to get burned, i think quickly, but it's going to be a fun ride while it lasts.

I think Russel stays for a long time, they have hyped this season as having the biggest survivor villain of all time. He can't be that if he is only in 4 episodes, I think he at least makes the merge.

The Russell guy is so ruthless it almost seems scripted to me. Like, how do NONE of his tribe members wake up as he's dumping out their water right beside them and creeping around camp setting socks on fire?
Regardless, these villians always annoy the crap out of me. I hope he's gone next show but I doubt he will be. His tribe will probably get immunity.

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out Russell is lying about that too and he's actually Russell the sh*t heal conman. Granted, I don't know a lot of "oil company owners", but most of the executives in that industry that I have met don't look like Bubba the truck driver. Who knows, maybe it's a snake oil company.

Well to be fair, his bio states he owns an oil tanking business - so really a support business to oil. He does look like a tanker. Plus there is a big difference between owner and execs of a business.

I haven't watched Survivor since season 2, but when I heard the promos about "the biggest villain of all time" being in this season I had to record it.
I love Russell and will watch until he is gone, then I could care less again. The hurricane Katrina story had me cracking up, his dog dying, stranded on his roof for two days and all "GRADE 'A' PURE BS". I loved it!

What a brilliant move by Russell.
I have no idea why people, in prior Survivors, haven't thought of trying to find the Immunity Idol before the clues are out.
It going to be funny to see the reactions of whoever figures out the clues and finds...uh... nothing, lol.

Thoughts from yesterdays show:
-Ben went from crazy redneck to batsh*t crazy redneck.
-I knew Betsy wouldn't last very long.
-White Russell has had a bit of the attention drawn away from him, looks like next week Jaison calls him out or something though
-Black Russell is ripped
-There seem to be 4 or 5 people that are really flying under the radar so far
-The Chef over-exerted himself in that wrestling challenge, hope he doesn't have a heart attack
-Shambo is lucky her tribe didn't go to tribal or she would have gone home. Losing the mouthpiece to your only snorkel is gg.

You could probably add racist to that description.
The stupidity of some of the people on these reality shows never ceases to amaze.

He did make some racist comments, but Yazmine really wasn't helping the cause. She gave him good fuel for the
racism fire.
Edit: I like how Ben went Grammar Nazi on her.

Ben's comment about Yasmin drinking Koolaid and eating ketchup sandwiches made me giggle.
