Gotta rub his nose in it first, so he knows it was bad.

Why do you feel the need to come on here and make bogus comments like this?

The Shammy and the Sham Wow are the exact same product, made in the exact same factory, by the exact same company. I have no financial stake in the product, and could careless if it works or not. I'm just tired of people coming on to these threads and giving a completely uneducated take just for the sake of it.

CP is a great resource for product reviews, if you can wade through the BS.

I have both products. I've bought some shamwows in Vegas before, and I purchased the shammy/shamwow at the Stampede. Both do what they advertise. A super absorbant cloth, that gets at stuff paper towel can't. I get them for my car, but they are useful all over the house. Are they worth 20 bucks? Maybe, depending upon what you want them for. Like a previous poster said, the more you use and wash them, the more they lose their form.

This wife was unaware of said cleaning tactics until this thread. So I don't know, he would have to tell you. But he will know soon cause cleaning the whole bathroom will become his job if I find pee covered cloths on my floor after scouring it from top to bottom. With one kid potty training and one about ready to make an appearance in the world I won't be cleaning up pee of three.

I'm pretty sure this guy does have a stake in the company. There's no way you could be that passionate and pissy about something so minor without having some sort of vested interest.

My girlfriend did the same thing at last years stampede and never really used them until a while ago. She dropped red wine on her carpet and she went for the sham wow. Sucked it all right up. Cant even tell where it was.

That's great, maybe I should do that instead. Last year I wanted to wash the car and the only clean cloth around was a sham wow. I found it very difficult to wash the car with it as it took a lot of effort to clean. Worked good, but a simple cloth would do. Also, the worst part is I tried to throw it on the bucket and missed... ended up on the ground. Rinsing the car off I see I missed a spot so I reach for the cloth and ######ed me didn't check the cloth and it had a rock on it. That rock cost me a few hundred dollars . But I could see how it would be handy around the house cleaning, but it's freaking expensive.

I've never really watched the commercials or studied this stuff but how is it so absorbent and wouldn't there be a lot of bacteria on this thing after a couple of uses?

I bought some shammies at stampede in about 1997 for about 10 bucks on the last day of Stampede, buddy was selling them double quantities at half-price to get rid of his inventory. I've still got about eight of them around. They work pretty good, and I would say the most common use I had over the years was cleaning up dog accidents although I had one I cut up and still use for polishing shoes. and a couple that are car cleaning/drying cloths.

I'm pretty sure that 80% of the people that buy junk from infomercials and at the stampede actually use the product < 5 times because most of the products they are selling are completely useless and don't need to be products in the first place because there are regular tools such as knives and cloths to do the same job that these miracle products do.
