Okay, but at the same time I dont think its unfair for the consumer to have a reasonable deal either. One can understand that they'll have to pay long distance or roaming charges when using their cell phone in another country, its another thing for those charges to amount to $11K in 5 days.

A guy at my office did almost the same thing. Went down into the states and used his iPhone to browse the internet for almost a week. His bill was over $800.

I think the issue is that he used data for about 3 hours and racked up about 500 mb of data. I can't do that in a month when I try. He was obviously billed incorrectly.
