Well, CRA stopped sending me payroll deduction slips, so if they want their installments, they can bother to send me the forms again.
As it turns out, they stopped sending them to me because, well, my deductions were so low it didn't matter to them.

From what I understand, lots of corporations are leaving money with the government taxman because the CCRA pays more than money market rates and obviously, there is a government guarantee.
Normally, that probably wouldn't happen but you may have plenty of company this year.

Yeah, I heard about this scam, the CRA will be putting a stop to it PFQ.
It was a sweet deal while it lasted, but if I was one of the companies I'd be pulling that cash quick because I've heard that if they dont the CRA's fines might be somewhere in the neighborhood of "get rid of it or we're keeping it. All of it."

They won't care. They'll just charge you interest on the installments they figure you were supposed to make.

Man, I owed this year. Tax management for freelancing without a business license sucks balls sometimes.
How the heck do some of you get so much in return? Damn, either you're all maxing out your RRSP's or just feel like paying more tax for the hell of it....?

I don't know how some people can maximize their RRSP limit. 18% of your gross works out to be about 25-30% of your net pay. How can people put that much cash in RRSPs is beyond me
I think I need some financail tips

I got around 12,600 back. I haven't spent any of it yet, as that and a bit o inheritence from one of my Uncles will be enough to cover tuition fees, and supplies for what looks like a return to the class room. The only thing worse than being a 25 year old grad with student loans...would be being 10 years older with the same thing!

Got about $2500 between the wife and I (in BC). Nothing special for RRSP's and stuff, I do contribute a bit. $500 of that was the credit for the kids sporting activities which is nice.
Most of it went to adding a room in the house and new appliances. Baby stuff as well.
