but when you actually listen to what he's saying, it's very hard to understand if he's actually saying anything at all.

Yes. That is what annoys me about Joe. The thing about sports, is that after you know the score, the rest is subjective & open to interpretation. The good sports talk guys have opinions that they are not afraid to give, & have reason to back it up.
IMO, Joe is often right about things he is saying, but he never really commits to it. He usually avoids coming right out & saying 'this guy sucks'. Sometimes he does, but that is what sports guys are supposed to do, so it goes in one ear & out the other. When he's just stammerring along using phrases like "not so much" I roll my eyes. These phrases are found in sentences like:
"Its not so much that I don't............................LIKE...... Roman Turek... Its just that sometimes........................................R oman Turek lets in a soft goal. And THAT, .................. is why the Flames........................................ may want to CONSIDER... considering the POSSIBILITY........................ that they may possibly need to CONSIDER .........................thepossibility ......................that Turek is NOT a number 1 goalie."
OK, overkill, but thats what he sounds like (sometimes

)
... yeah, he's probably better on a mic than me, but I'm not on the radio.
