You're lucky its your non-kicking foot, I'm kind of like Bertuzzi or Huselius as I like those cutsie little passes (ground passes, especially just in between the legs when the defender thinks I'm going wide), pulling the ball under my foot when I dribble and soft touches that having this thing on is like playing with a wooden ankle. Everything's off. I'm basically useless now (not that I was that useful before).
Funny story - I have these crappy shin guards I bought from Canadian Tire for U-11's (the white/purple velcro ones with the plastic tongues) that I used up until last year, when I broke one of them. Now, I just took off the ankle/heel strap part of it to accomadate this huge ankle brace and I'm back to using those crappy Canadian Tire $6 (at that time) shin guards. I can't believe these lasted this long.
