I was thinking last night and depending on the quality of players left when we get to pick 72, we might want to throw in a UFA dispersal draft at the end to add some depth to the rosters. Nothing formal, just claim whatever "x" number of players still available (that way you get to pick your favorite obscure player and not have to burn a spot in your "starting" six).

Locke, this could be a safe draft for you. Radulov has never been a Flame, so there's one less chance of "that kind of pick."

I would post this on the main Flames forum to get more interest, but I figure the draft would run smoother if I limited it to people who actually read this part of the OT forum...

D'oh... sorry for the confusion

Unless anyone objects, I don't have a problem doing this with only 10 teams... if anyone else wants to join this draft, PLEASE DO SO BY 12:00 pm MST TOMORROW (Monday). After 12:00, I'll use that random draw thingy to set up the draft order and we'll be off and running

P.S. In order to add more depth to the rosters, I'll be adding a "supplemental" draft at the end for UFA's... depending on who's left, each team will be allowed to pick 2-3 more players, so you'll have a chance to add some more grit, toughness, character, leadership, etc without having to put him in your starting 6. I said this would only be a 6 round "mini" draft so I'm thinking these supplemental picks will be first come, first served, hopefully when UFA season opens at a mutually agreed upon time.
