Fortunately???, he managed to find the penalty box alright.
That is so priceless. I can't believe this game wasn't videotaped.

Looks like your goaltender stopped 14 of 15 shots in the first period. Now if he was in on the boozing, I am seriously impressed!

While I thought the refs were quite patient, the one ref, #15 has some pretty poor game management skills. Everything was fine up until he decided he was gonna start calling some stupid penalties. At which point you had to know the drunks were gonna get, lets call it over excited.
Thats hilarious.

the worst part was that when we went to go fill up the water bottles, there was a big sign that said "Water not recommended for drinking" and that proved true. It did not taste like happy. Instead, we were forced to only have beer in our bottles on the bench.

Man, I'm going to have to wake up tomorrow and start sending e-mails to the league about what happened last night once I sober up.
Oh man that would seriously suck. Paying all the league fee's and getting booted before the mid-way point in the season. Hopefully you can blame the drunken debauchery on the fact that there was no water and you were forced to drink booze. Then maybe the league will give the guy a pass on this one.

Either way, great job guys!! I knew I should have come out for this one.

Nah, the stick thing was blown way out of proportion. At no point did he attempt to chuck a stick at the ref. It was just a door, and for some reason, they thought it was at the ref. They were already in their rooms.

That is by far the funniest thing hockey related I've ever read.

Please describe the goal and subsequent celebrations. Was he aware he'd scored?

I have no idea how he actually scored...the memory is a bit fuzzy but he just threw it at the net and some how it went in. All I remember was that was a lot of hugging involved

I'm probably gonig to be blasted for being a prude but if I was the other team and had set aside my Friday night to play hockey - and the other team showed up drunk - I'd be pretty ticked.

You can playoff softball blitzed but hockey? No way. Pretty lame.

In our defense we lasted half the game and we were only down 2-1. Its not like we couldn't skate...we kept up with them pretty well.

Nah, I feel the same way. We apologized profusely to the other team when they cancelled it. We still all played shinny and had a good time. It was more the ref than anything. I don't think he wanted to be there.

Yeah the other team was cool, they were laughing the whole time, and seemed to be pretty happy to just take the win and play shinny against us for teh rest of the ice time.

*** Just ten minutes ago, me and Josh tried to jump the tall fence along the c-train tracks along Macleod trail to get into Canyon Meadows, and I bailed big time, my f-ing back landed right on the track, and it was a 10 ft fall. That's going to hurt tomorrow for sure, good thing I don't have to feel t right now.

Yep, that one hurts now, it feels like someone hit my back with a 2 x 4.

It saved us about 15 minutes of walking, and at the time that was reason enough to giv'r a try.
