The helicopter chainsaw karate fight scene was the best part.

I would never take a guy to that movie.. ever.
I feel so bad for the poor suckers who get dragged to the theaters with their wives/girlfriends

Sarah Parker's face looks like a foot. Or a horse. And what's with the bumb on her chin? You would have to be absolutely hammered to ever be anywhere near attracted to her.

She's hideous all right. Still, she looks better now than when she was in Twisted Sister

Damn I guess I'm gonna have to change the oil in my car and paint the fence by myself.

haha thats funny.
Anyways,it was my 30th bday weekend and my gf's all went out of town...I had a surprise party Fri night and didnt get to see it so my husband decided to watch it with me. Poor guy, and I think I wouldve had more fun watching it with gf's who were a bit more enthusiastic rather than looking VERY bored.

Same here. Just because I love Sex and the City, I would never drag my boyfriend to see it. I don't even know why any girl would want to bring their guy with them anyways, its the kind of movie you'd want to see with your girlfriends.

My wife used the 'I never ask you to do anything like this' line... so we went. It's five hours of my life I'll never get back. Seriously, I would look at my watch figuring it must be close to over, and only 40 minutes had rolled by.
My only bemused moment was when I walked into the theater and saw the mixture of disgust and annoyance on the face of the other handful of male victims in attendance. Somehow that made me feel just a little better.

I liked the series (it was better and funnier during the earlier episodes). But I like most series from HBO. What hetrosexual guy woudn't laugh when Charlette was sleeping with the guy who would allways well "You Bleppin B##$%! You Bleppin Whore!" just before climax? Or a lot of other things that I can't post here. Sure the series got sappy in the last season or two. I would go see the movie. But I woudn't wait in line to see it.

She said there is no way in hell she would see this movie and hates the show

Vapid tripe.
The first words I thought of this morning when ruminating on the movie I saw late last night. Not enough humor, way too much glurge Defn. of Glurge.. Don't get me wrong. I liked the show as a casual fan, and I am well aware I am not their target demographic. And the movie had some great moments. But overall it was like a 2.5 hour exercise in product placement, and I wasn't emotionally invested enough to really care about the character's motivations.
Which left me with four aging and very shallow women who weren't funny enough to be likeable after how shallow and materialistic they came across.

For all of you guys that are just starting a relationship. If your girlfriend wants to go, take her and suffer through it. Its those types of favors that you can whip out whenever your girlfriend has a "headache".
Him - "Lets have a go shall we"
Her - "I have a headache"
Him - "Sitting through two and a half hours of sex in the city made me feel like I had a brain tumor, and yet I did it"
Her - " . . . "
